How do you plan to do that?

First of all you can just say "it's overpowered in general just not in this context!" because over/underpowered is entirely contextual.

Second I think that the problem with this lies not in the reward for meeting the condition, though at this point it's probably not more than "good enough" with the bonuses. The problem is in the conditions to meet them. Are deserts worth playing outside of a casual desert deck? Maybe, but probably not.

I do think that this is a fine card, I won't complain about its printing, but it's probably not going to be constructed worthy, and that's largely not due to "man this creature sucks I want a 25/25 for 2 cmc."

Side note, if green is getting massive undercosted creatures and they're still not seeing play, maybe they aren't the problem?

Mana crypt is so broken. My first thought was affinity, but after thinking about it even more, it's going to enable so much potential combo in modern and probably even legacy.

You are trolling right? Not standard legal or modern and it's not a new card

I noticed no one mentioned Lost Legacy is very similar to Vendilian Clique(card taken from hand draws them a card). Clique is definitely better because it leaves a 3/1 flying body at flash speed but the fact this thing can hit instant/sorceries/enchantments is insane: Especially if the only thing that can beat you is a sweeper or particular spell.

This is nothing like clique. Clique let's you look at their hand and remove the best card. This one maybe hits something in their hand if you are lucky, and even when it does they still get to draw a card for it. It is always pure card disadvantage for the one casting the Legacy.

I really don't get why people feel this is an awesome card, isn't it pretty much a pretty bad extraction-effect?

No its not bad. You get the cards from anywhere. You name Emrakul, you get all of them no matter where they are. If there are any in hand they get to draw to replace them. You unconditionally get to take a whole playlet from their library. And on top of that it has the flexibility of letting you get rid of dead cards if need be. Its only actually bad if they have multiples in hand.

They're not talking about the sample decks bruh. Different product. Sample decks aren't new.

Are there other cards like buried alive that allow you to search your library for specific cards to put in your GY?

As some have already mentioned this reminds me a lot of doomsday. Could be interesting to try that out in modern. Doomsday is one of my favorite vintage decks.

hard to ignore "the battlefield": written on so many cards

but must players manage to read past it without reading it through every time

and many actually explain a card without using it

When either idiots or complete trolls like this say "No war," it makes me think that war must be a good thing.

I'm really not even sure what point he's trying to make. This card has nothing to do with etb.
On topic, it might be serviceable depending on the format. It might be too late for that effect to be worth it though.

    GUYS
sorry if it was already mentioned, but at least not in the first page.

    THE ART IS NOT NEW
it is official and has been in artofmtg.com since the beggining of bfz spoiler season (in a high enough resolution for fakers)
    .
It has been mentioned and taken into account. I don't know if this is real, I hope so, but there's no need to be rude.

It's funny how removals in this set are completely outclassed by other removals in the same set

You mean some cards in the set are better than others? WOW

My input I guess, is that it depends on how well you can drop it turn 4 or 5 and how slow the format is in general. It seems like they intend to slow standard down significantly, and in that case this could be quite good. It also depends on how good the processors are. With Herald of Kozilek (I know it may not be playable) its easier to drop early, Fathom Feeder is good early and late to feed Processors, Crumble to Dust helps with the resource denial, Ulamog's Nullifier as a counter/body, Transgress the Mind for discard/fuel, Brutal Expulsion could work. I think there's a lot of potential for a Grixis Eldrazi deck, although how exactly the deck would play out I'm not sure, control or midrange, certainly not aggro.

I think it could be a 1 of in some blue control decks. Depends on the speed of the format and how late games go, but it's a viable finisher I think.

it's one of those cards where a single X would be way too good, and double X makes it trash. There's just no middle ground here.

Lol i love these kind of comments in retrospect. "trash" they said. And now it's in modern.

No it's not, because the spell loses all synergies with R Sowing Salt could have (e. g. cost reduction under Ruby Medallion). It's like having a comparison between Wind Drake and Avian Changeling, somehow... As far as I can see, odds are that when people want to say "strictly X", it's not the right word.
    Actually it is.
Corner cases and random synergies aren't relevant for something to be strictly better. A GG 2/3 Human is strictly better than a GG 2/3 vanilla elf, even if you count all the evels synergies.

Really? Why do Legacy Merfolk play Cursecatcher instead of the "strictly better" Judge's Familiar, then?

Because its a merfolk in a merfolk deck? Doesn't make Judge's Familiar not strictly better. I wish people would just stop using the phrase altogether. It's used incorrectly more often than not, and it almost always starts arguments.

I like the card. Easier to cast Sowing Salt, exile is relevant, devoid is probably relevant in this block and, by extension, Standard. Idk how good it is, but I'm glad the card will be around.
