well then.......will the Tron haters PLEASE SHUT UP NOW??? Does THIS do the trick?
By itself? Nope. To beat Tron you need either extreme aggression or disruption paired with a fast clock. At one mana, this is efficient, but it only hoses a couple of specific decks, whereas Blood Moon hoses all the greedy mana bases.
People won't shut up until Tron is no longer warping the format with it's incredibly resilient, difficult to interact with, very consistent angle of attack.
You don't need ramp when you aren't playing silly beaters like Inferno titan, and are instead using excess lands as a pay off for cards like tracker.
Every list I look at is still playing a couple copies of Inferno Titan, even the "Ponza Monsters" decks. Not sure what kind of point you're trying to make.
So I was a Ponza player before the deck really took off and became a well-known archetype. Despite my love of the deck, I eventually put it down due to how inconsistent it felt to play.
It had a lot of bad starting hands, requiring aggressive mulliganing. Often times you would keep drawing into the wrong half of the deck (either ramp without payoff, or payoff without ramp, etc.). When everything went according to plan, playing Ponza made me feel unstoppable, but more often the deck just lost to itself.
Looking at the current list on MTGGoldfish, I see it is now running a playset of Tireless Tracker and a couple copies of Chandra, Torch of Defiance. Do these additions improve consistency in a meaningful way? I would love to give it another go… Few things in MTG feel better than turn 2 Acid Moss into turn 3 Inferno Titan, imo.
This is my tentative decklist for Game Day. Looking for feedback! I am not too sure about Kalitas in the main... Not sure if I am too light on threats...
Sideboard is just a list of possible SB cards, or maybe MB if I make changes.
I had a ton of fun playing the Mono-Blue Prism deck in Standard recently. Since it is no longer viable in Standard with the rotation of Origins, I want to convert it into a somewhat competitive deck for Modern FNM. I know it will never be a tournament level deck, but in my (admittedly limited) testing, it has held up pretty well against some top tier decks. I have some top tier Modern decks for when I'm feeling Spikey... this one will be for fun.
Here is my first pass on the deck, and I would really appreciate feedback and suggestions. I am not very familiar with a lot of the older, less played Modern-legal cards, so I might be overlooking some obvious upgrades.
For those not familiar, you durdle around while assembling some number of Prism Ring and Jace's Sanctum. Against fair decks, if you can make it to turn four with 1-2 Prism Rings of the board and an Engulf the Shore in hand, you will probably do well. Day's Undoing is there to keep cycling your graveyard back into your deck, while simultaneously providing card advantage since this deck tends to vomit out it's hand pretty quickly. The main wincon is taking multiple turns with awakened Part the Waterveil. I have been using Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger in the board as a secondary wincon to be fetched with Coax from the Blind Eternities (was very happy with this in Standard, but less so in Modern). The deck is pretty weak to Planeswalkers, hyper aggressive decks, and combo.
I'm trying to put together a Mardu Midrange deck because I want to play my Liliana of the Veils along with the sweet removal and sideboard options. I need help with the manabase, specifically one built with no Zendikar fetches. I have basically every other land you could want, including the Khans fetches and all of the shocks. I know it would help to have a specific decklist, but I'm not there yet. I would really appreciate help with a 23-25 land manabase that I could then adjust as needed based on the rest of the card choices in my deck.
I'm seeking suggestions for a fairly competitive deck that can play Liliana of the Veil. I have a full playset of her, but because I lack the Bobs, Goyfs, and Verdant Catacombs, Jund isn't really an option for me.
Assume I have basically every card from New Phyrexia onward, and I also have quite a few modern staples from before that (sadly, none of the original Zendikar fetches), to include:

Reading through the recent posts, it seems that people aren't generally running Inquisition of Kozilek or Thoughtseize... why is that?

I asked in the Bant Eldrazi discussion, but haven't received a response in a couple of days.
