Going rogue eh?
You have a lot of good cards in here, but good cards put together don't always make a good deck. Its a place to start, but you should focus your deck.
Scrap:
2 Primeval Titan
3 Solemn Simulacrum
2 Beast Within
2 Cathar's Crusade
3 Lingering Souls
2 Vault of the Archangel
1 Mortarpod
4 Birds of Paradise
2 Garruk Relentless
So I had this Idea for abusing Noxious Revival with Miracle cards and thought going with Red would be the best with burn. Initially I was thinking GW with Entreat the Angels, but Bonfire of the Damned plays much better. Basically with the Mana Dorks and Ramp, you get a one sided sweeper. Also works well with Vexing Devil.
Faithless Looting is an excellent card in here, if stuck with a miracle or two just discard them and Reclaim/Noxious Revial them up later.
Revenge of The Hunted and Spikeshot Elder have great synergy. Miracling in the Revenge on the Elder and attacking then activating can do some heave damage.
Fling is the only card I am on the fence about here, its only really good with Revenge of the Hunted or a Vexing Devil. I was considering to try in Arc Trail or Chandra, the Firebrand in its place to get some more potential control over small creatures instead. Or Reverberate, could be real nice with miracling in almost anything.
I only started to play standard recently, like Innistrad recently. People at my LGS were mostly playing that or casual. I was only doing Modern at the time, so I would end up playing my Modern decks during casual. Decided to try standard for the structure.
At least they had the courtesy to warn you of their closing. I used to play at this one LGS years back and one day they just picked up and left. They were there for years, I spoke with my local comic shop owner and she told me that it was weird, because they all knew each other (all the LGS and comic shops) and they were all like, what happened to Ricky...
The store isn't shady, its smart. It comes down to business first and the game second. You already said it was the only LGS in a 40 mile radius and you, obviously discontent with the prices, are still a patron, so I don't think much will change with them unless you get more people involved, but that can potential ruin the only LGS you have into closing down because they can't afford the keep the lights on... quite a predicament.
IDK about that. The whole acting geekish goes over pretty well with the ladies. Big difference between acting geekish while being suave or being fat, smelly and awkward. The whole geek thing goes over pretty well with the cool kids too... just not the fat, smelly and awkward part. But being fat, smelly and awkward doesn't really make you a geek... it just makes you fat, smelly and awkward.
That is just two whole different genres you got there pal. I agree that being fat, smelly and awkward does not make you a geek, but you can be fat, smelly and awkward and a geek.
Wrong, its not cool to be geekish, it is cool to look geekish. Big difference when you hear some hipster in geek's clothing talking and an actual game geek...
Never, the only skill needed in cheating in MTG is being able to not get caught cheating. I think it'd be easier to brush up on card playing skills instead.
I have only caught one person cheating so far, it was in a 3 player casual game. The guy who cheated was the first person to start and mulligans his first hand, then he begins the game by drawing a card. The other player and I just look at each other like wtf... We did not say anything though, I was confidant that I was going to win anyways
Did Desolation Angel have any story significance? Because it seems odd that they would reprint a card with art depicting the exact same character in a non-core set expansion, and even in a core set, it seems like they would just use the same art instead of new art depicting the same 'character' as the original, but in a different pose.
Might just be a reprint for RTR, I mean we still get Serra Angels, and that name Serra no longer hold's relevance to magic. I think Desolation Angel is just the type of Angel not a character, like an Angel or Despair or Mercy, just a name.
I think Crovax just had a thing for BW Angels, A Desolation Angel was as close as he can find to get his rocks off.

I would go GW Aggro since you have some nice cards already.
Keep the Swords
Max Silverblade Paladin
Max out on Hero of Bladehold
Try Champion of Lambholt and Champion of The Parish.
Potentially you could swap BoP for Avacyn's Pilgrim to boost the Parish Champ
Max O-Rings.
2-3 Gather the Townsfolk
Go cheap and swing hard.
Alternatively you can also go GBW Tokens also, potentially you could split your current deck into 2 good decks.
Max Lingering Souls
Gather the Townsfolk
A few more cheap token cards:
Midnight Haunting
Doomed Traveller
More Mortarpod
Maybe Elspeth Tirel and/or Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
Tragic Slip/Dismember
4 Copperline Gorge
4 Rootbound Crag
7 Forest
4 Mountain
Creatures 15
4 Birds of Paradise
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Vexing Devil
3 Spikeshot Elder
4 Revenge of The Hunted
4 Noxious Revival
2 Reclaim
4 Bonfire of the Damned
4 Thunderous Wrath
3 Rampant Growth
3 Faithless Looting
2 Fling

Any advice?
