Are you sure about Shatterstorm? it's a 4CMC card and you're playing only 18 lands. We barely play a 3cmc in our sideboards (Molten Rain most of the time) So you'd better consider this.
tarmogoys' ozze and Finks will be outta the way, kaming Abzan/Jund Matchup even easier along with Goryo's. I haven't had the chance to play against B/x Eldrazi but with x 3 Deflecting palm and 2 path to exile on the side, i don't fear them.
hey folks, tomorrow i have a somewhat important tournamment and i need some advice on my SB; i've running Aura barbsx2 as a meta call, but i don't want them for a big tournament, but im unsure what to replace them with.
Yesterday in my Loccal Store went 3-1 with the list.
Game 1: Grixis...something ( killed him too fast and could'nt see what kind of grixis was.)
The match was quite easy. I won the dice roll so...Turn 1 Goblin Guide, T2 Eidlon..he was stuck on a 1 land hand shocking himself with cantrips...it was over before he hitted a second land.
Game2: Also easy game. turn one Monastery Swiftspear for me. His T2 was a Spellkite, for i had a Revelry in my hand...sothe rest of the game was straight foward, when he landed a tasigur, he was already at 6 and died soon after.
Round2: Amulet Bloom
Game1: He has a slow hand with no Azusa, no Amulet...i had a Monastery and two Eidolon...stole game 1 thanks to the Eidolons triggers.
Game2: My hand was kinda bad, but at the same fine was ok. it was 4 lands, Lightning Bolt and 2 Revelry Destruction..i decided to keep since i had answer for Azuza and Amulet.
he casted a Gitaxian Probe and saw my hand. My turn Draw...a Bridge from the top. His turn was Azuza+ Amulet of Vir. At his end of turn bolted his Azuza and in my turn destroyed the amulet...his turn was land and go, then my turn i played Ansanaring Bridge..then he scoop, he has nothing to deal with it.
Round 3: Mono White.
Game1: I kept a 1 land hand and...never saw a second one, the was over facing a Bunch of Blade Splicer and Flickerwisp
boarded out: -2 Atarka's command, in +2 path to Exile.
Game2: 1 land in hand again, but i was 2 Monastery, two Lightning bolt a Path and Searing blaze...sadly the land was a Mountain, but i decided to keep...and nope, 3 turn with no lands, when i got one from the top it was a Stomping ground and i was facing a kor Firewalker...then he casted a second one and i was done for.
Round4: vengevine Dredge
Quite fun game, i played a T2 Eidolon that almost got me killed...i was down to 1 but i topdecked a Lava Spike from the top, plus a Bolt in my ahnd, oponnent was at 5 ( Eidolon was dead)
Boardout: -3 Eidolon in: +2 Path and a Deflecting Palm ( jsut because i had a free slot)
Game2: Pushed him down 1...but i got killed pretty fast.
Game3: My hand was insane. Goblin guide, 2 Monastery Swift Spear, 2 Fetchland Lightning Bolt and Searing Blaze.
T1 Goblin guide, he shocked himself to cast a Faithless looting, my turn drew a land, casted both Swiftspear and swing. he casted a Satyr Wayfinder and passed, my turn drew a second goblin guide, but i Bolted Him, then searing Blaze the Satyr...and he was dead.
Only had only one chance to play Ensnaring Bridge and it was really good against Amulet Bloom, i will continue testing it.
Why would you board in Kor Firewalekr against Twin? seems strange to me.
@Beowul/Navelo Yeah i had Volcanic Fallout in my SB ( before Dragon of Tarkir) but i replaced them; now that Elves got more popular maybe i could make room for them.
Anyways, im going to try Ensnaring Bridge today at my Local Store but im not too sure against what i should bring it..beside Boggles and Tron (maybe)
Im not too sure about the 2 Atarka's on the SB and the Rending volley can be removed for something else.
I really like the idea of Ensaring Bridge as suggested above.
I've done pretty well with this so far, still the SB makes me uneasy.

Heelcutter may be too slow as 3cmc daher. Need more test.
Tasigur and Wurmcoil are the answer in fact, even if is only for one turn.
Mogg fanatic may get replaced with the new renown goblin in origins, for now...its a nice 1 drop that kills Noble Hierach or infects creature, Young Pyromancer, Snapcaster...i expect a lot of Grixis Delver in my meta.
Anyways, has anyone thought splashing black for Crackling Doom or Dark Confidant? ( a 4-color burn maybe?)
Someone on the thread runs a 4-color Burn. I don't remember the pages, but if you go back a little, you can find his reports.
About Dark Confidant, I'm on the black splash and I don't see the use of running him. He's amazing in other decks, but for Burn, we normally don't need a drawing engine to end the game. He'll take precious spots on the mainboard (maybe the Grim Lavamancer).
Well i was considering him on the Sideboard rather than main; i'll look for the 4 color list and see.
It was 6 swiss rounds + top 8, so...here's some record of the overall match ups.
R1: Jund/Abzan: 2-0
G1:Pretty easy match in fact, Smashed him to 5 with an Eidolon, He played an Scavening Ozze and tryed to Remove something, in response fetch plus Searing Blaze finished him off.
G2: Played T1 Goblin Guide, revealing Feed the Clans from the top. I had no need to play anything else unless he make his move. Eventually i played more lands and burned him slowly, keeping skullcrack and Atarka Command ready if he wanted to gain life.

G2: i took too much damage from my own Eidolon, then he Resolved a Martyr to gain 15 Lifes, had no response...eventually died.

I was on the play, so...T1 Shock, guide, smash..he played a tapped Sacred Foundry. Guide attacked him again...no alnd for me. he played a plain said go; Goblin guide attacked once more, but he casted Lightning Helix which i response casting Path on my guide, fixing my mana. He played hawk and searched for copies, my turn was a fetch and pass, he then casted Ranger of Eos searching for Martyr of Sands. ned of of turn, Boros Charm to the face, Luckilly i had my 4th land to double Skullcrack in response to his Martyrs again...he had a Precinct Captain, but nothing else to gain more lifes, he died couple turns affter,
R3: Vengevine Dredge: 1-2
Well, kept a 1 fetch hand with a bunch of 1-spells; i was on the draw so it was okay.

Since i saw some copies of kitchen Finks and Scavening Ozze i couldn't cut Skullcracks or Atarka's so.
G2: Dropped him down to 3, but didn't draw a burn spell to kill him.
G3: A bunch of Kitchen finks, Feed the Clans and Obstinate Baloth was too much to handle.
R6: G/r ramp (trough the Breach) 2-1
G1: Won because i was on the play. Raced him just in time, because next turn he was ready to stick a Emrakul with Haste.
G3: he played a turn 4 trought the breach ( thanks to a double Search for Tomorrow ) but i was expecting it, he cheated a Emrakul, Aeons of torns...but i floated Red and White mana, we looked each other face then i a showed him a Deflecting Palm, dealing 15 damage....he was very dead.
Top 8! ( Barely )

Game1: Nothing to point here, i was faster, he played a Rhino, but i ahd a response.

He mulled aggresivily ( mull to 5) for a Leyline of Sanctity then he played a Noble Hierach. My fisrt turn, bolted his noble, he played his second...and last land of the whole game. next turn i destroyed his leyline and then Grim lavamancer plus bolt from the top did the work.
His hand was full of Rhinos, feed the clans and Liliana of the Veil, but he enver draw a thrid land.
Top 4:Grixis Delver: 1-2
On the draw again. i had a reasonable aggro hand- his first turn was just a fetcch, then end of turn Thought Scour himself, second turn another fetch...and Tasigur, the Golden Fang since my hand was 2 Swiftspear and Eidolon, the preassure was on me...and wasn't able to rac.
Out 4 Skullcrack
In 2 Path to Exile 2 Destruction Revelry
Game 2: a Turn 2 Eidolon which was not able to remove until a couple of turn later was enough to drop him to a low life; an even late Dragon Claw came into play, but i was able to finish him off.
Game3: Was a close one, but he played a early Dragon Claw which he defended with counters...eventually tasigur came into play and took the game.
He won the GPT ( against U/R Delver with a twin convertion SB)
As i was saying, im pretty happy with ym current list, then only thing i don't like is Volcanic Fallout. I have a very close match with affinity, so maybe i should replace them with Smash to Smitherns or Shatter Spree.
So basically is the Tiny leader version of the EDH Zozu. The idea is to disrupt your opponent lands, make him pays for spells and make some Locks with the Stax and taxes.
I can't feel confortable about Shard Volley. i know is a "finisher" but for that instance isn't a ebtter option to run something else more...reliant? like Skullcrack to ensure the damage race and win?
I know 1 cmc > 2 cmc but if you don't your opponent with that Volley, it should be pretty bad.
Damn why can't we have a Bolt with delve? it's so unfair!
I changed a little bit my list since last week. Still doing pretty well in regular tourneys; in fact, just won last FNM and placed second on a Open modern last saturday.
but anyways, Naya Burn got pretty solid with those Atarkas's.

Uhm i havane't had chance to play agaisnt esper ( at the open we draw intentional to make top 8) but i'll try to answer anyways.
I don't exactly what Esper/UW play, but i assure at least 2 Batterskull and Sepllskite so i would board in all 4 Revelry Destruction(remoing the obvious Searing Blaze)
And of course the 4th copy of Eidolon, removing 1 Lightning helix..
And..if you are not under anypreassure ( which is very likely to happen) try to play around [Mard]mana Leek[/card] and Timely Reinforce which is veeery bad neews for us.

But i think bridge may be the answer for all those crazy Eldrazis...the problem is the thought Knot exiling it from our before we cast it.

G1: Won because i was on the play. Raced him just in time, because next turn he was ready to stick a Emrakul with Haste.

G2: I mulled to four because i opened 3 hand with 0 lands....he played a Chalice of the Void for one in his second turn; couple turn affter, Trought the Breach + Primeveral Titan plus Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle was enough to kill me in one shot.
G3: he played a turn 4 trought the breach ( thanks to a double Search for Tomorrow ) but i was expecting it, he cheated a Emrakul, Aeons of torns...but i floated Red and White mana, we looked each other face then i a showed him a Deflecting Palm, dealing 15 damage....he was very dead.

G2 4 fetch hand, Lightning Bolt, Lavamancer and Revelry Destruction...i kept.
He mulled aggresivily ( mull to 5) for a Leyline of Sanctity then he played a Noble Hierach. My fisrt turn, bolted his noble, he played his second...and last land of the whole game. next turn i destroyed his leyline and then Grim lavamancer plus bolt from the top did the work.
His hand was full of Rhinos, feed the clans and Liliana of the Veil, but he enver draw a thrid land.
Top 4:Grixis Delver: 1-2
On the draw again. i had a reasonable aggro hand- his first turn was just a fetcch, then end of turn Thought Scour himself, second turn another fetch...and Tasigur, the Golden Fang since my hand was 2 Swiftspear and Eidolon, the preassure was on me...and wasn't able to rac.

In 2 Path to Exile 2 Destruction Revelry
Game 2: a Turn 2 Eidolon which was not able to remove until a couple of turn later was enough to drop him to a low life; an even late Dragon Claw came into play, but i was able to finish him off.
Game3: Was a close one, but he played a early Dragon Claw which he defended with counters...eventually tasigur came into play and took the game.

As i was saying, im pretty happy with ym current list, then only thing i don't like is Volcanic Fallout. I have a very close match with affinity, so maybe i should replace them with Smash to Smitherns or Shatter Spree.
Anyways, has anyone thought splashing black for Crackling Doom or Dark Confidant? ( a 4-color burn maybe?)

I know 1 cmc > 2 cmc but if you don't your opponent with that Volley, it should be pretty bad.
Damn why can't we have a Bolt with delve? it's so unfair!
Uhm i havane't had chance to play agaisnt esper ( at the open we draw intentional to make top 8) but i'll try to answer anyways.
I don't exactly what Esper/UW play, but i assure at least 2 Batterskull and Sepllskite so i would board in all 4 Revelry Destruction(remoing the obvious Searing Blaze)
And of course the 4th copy of Eidolon, removing 1 Lightning helix..
And..if you are not under anypreassure ( which is very likely to happen) try to play around [Mard]mana Leek[/card] and Timely Reinforce which is veeery bad neews for us.
