I'm using the Josh Warren green aggro deck and it's pretty nuts. it's proving extremely effective. I'm looking to possibly improve on it though if you guys have any suggestions. I've noticed one of the big weaknesses of this deck is flying. aside from the plummet's in the sideboard it really doesn't have any way of dealing with flying other than getting strong creatures out fast and hope they save their flying creatures to block with. here is what i'm working with now

The last deck I played seriously with was a kuldotha deck so I really don't even know what's good anymore. My friend got me back into magic but we're playing online this time so i'm pretty much going to be paying for this deck with event tickets. I'm just looking for something cheap and competitive. I've tried to do a little research already but i've been out of the loop long enough that i really don't even know where to start. can anyone help me get started here?

rage extraxtors seems not needed in your deck. have a look at my deck just like this...

gain a million, fling a million

i completely forgot about Ajani's Pridemate thats gotta be in a deck like this. i really like Felidar Sovereign too. but isn't Serra Ascendant kinda out of place. because at anytime you have at least 30 life would you use it to pump up Immolating Souleater or Moltensteel Dragon? or would you just keep gaining life and only use the life sacrifice as a last resort? or well i guess since it has lifelink it just pushin you towards the high life goal. i take back my last thought. haha

so the idea here is gain a lot of life and then use that life to pump up creatures like moltensteel dragon and immolating souleater. what you guys think?

I think you're getting confused with Conqueror's Pledge and the various landfall cards.

    yes! that was it. thanks!

i'm trying to think of a card. i think what it did was when it enters it spawns 6 1/1 soldiers and if a land entered that turn it spawns 12 1/1's

  • posted a message on infect against protection
last night we were playing and this caused a bit of an argument. i had out a mirran crusader and was attacking with it. my opponent blocked with a green 1/1 with infect. now he tried to say that even though mirran crusader has protection from green, his creature still deals the -1/-1 infect counters to it. i didnt think that was right because whats the point of protection if you can't protect? who's right?

Picked up Preacher VOL.1 Gone To Texas, really good, much better than i remember when i read a few loose comics of it years ago. Checked out Y:The Last Man & The Walking Dead, Walking dead i like but admit im more into the show so far, Y:The Last Man looks good but i need to sit down and just take some time with it. Stuff like Deadpool, ive read it but im just not into it, i like him in Marvel Universe VS The Punisher but thats about it.

if you havn't already you NEED to read watchmen. one of my favorite books (not even comic books. favorite books) of all time. it was on Time Magazine's 100 greatest novels of all time, and number 13 on entertainment weekly's "best 50 novels printed in the last 25 years". hands down one of the best graphic novels ever made

also check the hellboy graphic novels. those are very good too but DEFINITELY watchmen

Yes, he is perfectly allowed to do things after blockers have been declared.
In the Declare Blockers step, you first declare blockers, and then players recieve priority to do stuff.

Do note that all combat damage is dealt at once. He has to do it right after declare blockers, and sometime before combat damage is dealt in order for his creature to deal more combat damage.

aaahhhhhhh. gotcha. thanks for clearing that up:D

alright this caused quite some confusion last night while we were playing. my opponent has like 4 creatures out. he attacks me and i assign blockers. creatures that die are put into the graveyard and damage is dealt. now my opponent has a creature thats a 2/2 that he attacked with. i chose not to block that one because it was just a 2/2 but it has an ability that makes it a 4/4 if he taps red mana. he tried to play that ability after blockers had already done their thing, and said that i take 4 damage instead of 2. is he allowed to do that so late in combat phase? i would have blocked it if i knew it was gonna be a 4/4

pitch black was such a better movie than chronicles. although the directors cut of chronicles was pretty good. the theatrical cut was really bad. they cut out a lot of important stuff to the plot

maybe you pointed this out already (only only skimmed your post) but perhaps it should be said that the process of installing kubuntu, which is what i run, or any other of the 'buntu's is virtually the same. i personally prefer kubuntu over ubuntu. gnome is just too simple for me i gotta have my kde. love that tux pic btw

    Quote from Monopoman
Both sound fairly generic to me...

If you are looking for money out of doing this and not just a hobby to pass the time you need a interesting persona that doesn't seemed forced.

The Angry Video Game Nerd and the Nostalgia Critic have mastered that aspect of online identities and it shows.

Also ironic reviews do far better then real reviews overall on youtube. Like more of a ranting and raving style of reviewing then just putting out a critical analysis.

Constant updates are also a must I have been told because then it makes it easier for people to just subscribe which is what you want.

i know what you mean. i've started a few channels and thinking of a good name always seems to be the hardest part. as for the review format me and the other guy i'm doing this with tend to get pretty heated during our arguments so i think thats where most of the entertainment value will come from. i have some connections with big tubers, i'm friends (on facebook at least) with the guy who does BlackBoxTV and the editor of the Philip DeFranco Show. i talk to Toby Turner every now and then too. once we can get a good name down the rest will more or less fall into place. i'm open to any suggestions if anyone has one
