Nov 30, 2017kolayhe posted a message on If You Can't Take Criticism of Jeremy Hambly, You're Part of the ProblemEvil men prevail when good men do nothing. The fact that there are people on here that see what he did as OK should be widely shunned by everyone. The people saying it should have been resolved as adults by privately having a conversation seem to conveniently gloss over the fact that he made this public by doing it on YouTube and Twitter to all of his/her followers and subscribers. He would have made money off of those videos too. He made this a public issue. That is not acceptable.Posted in: Articles
If you find anything about this situation acceptable other than the fact that action is being taken against him, you are unequivocally wrong, and will simply ensure this world gets a little bit worse, day by day. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
Wizards do have a "let's have the bad guys win" theme going on recently, so it would not be a complete surprise if they killed him off in this set after giving him multiple cards.
Not to mention MaRo has been wrong in what he's said on numerous occasions when he gets all excited about throwing out spoilers to interviewers on videos, either a) on purpose to get people building wild theories, or b) cause he's an ass like that.
the SoM watermark is one prime example
I just think making him a werewolf would be entirely pointless unless his abilities revolved around the creature type, which would narrow him down more that Nissa, due to the lack of werewolves in EVERY block. Nissa was for elves, which get their own cards in every block. surely making a PW for Werewolves would be narrowing a PW's usage to 1 block, unless they started printing off more in sets where it would make little or no sense to have werewolves on the plane, just to support the garruk werewolf tribal fanclub
Seems a little convinient and makes Garruk look like a total ***** if a PW can't fend off some wolves, not to mention his spark giving him all kinds of protections people have mentioned earlier about the phyrexian oil.
I know it would sound a feel awesome if he was and became a tribal 2nd side for werewolves, but why make a walker fit into that set of creatures if we're only gonna have werewolves in this one block? (i dont see werewolves cropping up in ravnica or whatever fabled plane is in the block after)
Seems like you take an idea you really want, and grab hold of any tiny strand to make it plausible.
I'd stick my ass on the line and say he's just a Garruk 'Walker with 2 sides for 5 abilities like MaRo said, with one side all cursed and what not
I third that statement, i was looking at that post yesterday, then saw this card and immediately thought that either the guy was psychologically linked to the design team, or the OP just ninja'd a picture and copy pasta'd the speculated abilties...
i think cryptic command is partially different, in the fact that it's a counter for 4cmc and gives you another thing on top of that (ie card advantage)
what's wrong with an uncounterable counter at 4cmc? How many of you guys countered a counter on regular occasions?
I can see a small issue with it being a land and therefor automatically being put in every U/x deck, but not exactly hurrendously OP
I think "balancing" to the MaRo-degree would just make it a cack card that defeats the point of the guy even making his own card
"Gratz on your prize, when we give you this ferrari, you can drive it around, but then we're going to take the wheels off it aswell as the engine" - the closest i can get to a situation with similarities...
I second that /rant !
I have never been to a pre-release event or regional event, and quite possibly never will, due to the lack of stores anywhere near where i live (and there are 2-3 cities on 30mins away), we had a local store which was promptly shut down because of the lack of players, and another TCG shop closed down not so long ago because of little or no support...
I would take the choice of getting to the nearest store that's 3 hours away, but with the way the release days changed, I can't really see the point of cramming myself into a tiny store with equally disgruntled players, numbering to almost 1 whole dozen
i strongly doubt Bob will be in INN, I could imagine that card causing some complaints...
Murder of Crows I do believe
Can anyone clarify this for me?
This.
I don't believe they will print Garruk in Inni, and then again in M12.
More than likely Lilliana and Merfolk 'walker for inni, leaving garruk with M12
actually from what i can see and compare, garruks segment of card looks different, if not brighter from the original
unless of course you're running Omnath, Locus of Mana for some reason?
i second this, hence why my original template was mainly g/w
tempered steel is pretty good for inclusion. if the main idea is to throw out splicers left right and centre, you want buffs alongside the ones you're getting from the splicers themselves, and i thought Rusted Relic was an interesting addon to this idea
going to drop in a true conviction for this and overwhelming stampede as a form of finisher, or at least a way to make a large dent in your opponents face
then i threw in Birds of Paradise and Alloy Myr for the mana ramp to attempt a Etched Monstrosity dropout (a 5/5 for that will no doubt get insta buffed when it hits the field is a nice addon to all the current 3/3's regardless of whether you manage the extra 5cmc cost)
