I've been pretty successful but still have trouble with Burn and Batterskull. I kind of want to use Kiora in a trial in the MB as a 1 of. Seems like a decent card in a lot of matchups but maybe too cute.
Anyone still playing this deck? I'm a fan of the BUG control and would like some new discussion going and some tips on piloting the deck. Anyone else think a Kiora in the board isn't a bad idea?
I had an interesting scenario come up today while playing some games for kicks against my buddy. We disagree on this ruling, but i just let it happen his way to avoid the conflict because I ended up killing him the next turn anyways. Here is the situation.
1. He casts Smallpox
2. We each lose one life
3. We each discard one card
4. We each sac a creature
5. We each sac a land
Now, if my creature happens to be a 2/2 Hound of Griselbrand with no counters on it (or any other undying creature for that matter), when I sacrifice it to the Smallpox does it immediately come back with a +1/+1; or does a trigger hit the stack and the creature not return to play until after Smallpox resolves, thus giving him time to surgically extract it? I am leaning towards it immediately returning to play due to the text on undying, making his Surgical Extraction cast an illegal move because at this point, smallpox is still resolving.
I ported over to this thread from the MTGthesource thread. I'm really liking this deck and plan on making it, but I still have some hard times sideboarding. Could you give me a little advice on what is good when, and why?
Also, just out of curiosity is this deck more or less stable than TinFins, the other main T1 combo in Legacy?
