With Toils of Night and Day, Goblin Fireslinger, and Dual Cast could you go infinite storm count turn 3? T1 Goblin, T2 enchant Goblin, T3 Toils, untapping 1 mountain and Goblin? Repeat ad nauseum?
EDIT: I chose Goblin Fireslinger because I thought I might be able to eke out an extra tap every turn. You could just use Gladecover Scout if you're comfortable going 3 colour. Add Invisible Stalker for redundancy.
I'd just like to say thank you, Nath. I feel like mtgleaks is stealing the wind from your sails. So far you have proven to be true every spoiler.
As for the cards, Viento de Muerte looks fun. I've never been particularly competitive, and it just looks like a fun time. It could act like a pacifism of sorts if you played it right.
When I went home this christmas, my brother let me search through his old box of magic cards. Lo and behold, he had zombies! I have decided to make a zombie deck using these old cards and the newer cards that have recently come out, and would love to have your help.
My 2 cents on the Magic boom is based upon what happened during the great depression; that is, your everyday man was in a bit of a fiscal situation, and therefore needed a distraction. Back then it was cheap movies that showed luxurious lifestyles; nowadays, Magic. Magic isn't cheap for some, but for others (ie me and my group of fellow academics, all on tight budgets), it can prove to be relatively inexpensive. We've got 1.5 years of enjoyment out of this on about 70$ each, so not too bad.
Yeah, looking at the rooftop storm + conspiracy thread was what gave me the idea for this thread. For some reason my group hates counters, so boards can easily get very clogged up.
Hey, wondering if we could get a list of cards (and some discussion about them) of some of the Innistrad cards that would be fun and useful in multiplayer games, janky stuff included. Cards to look for are ones that have nice effects when opponents do things, or effect multiple players.
Some cards I'm liking:
Falkenrath Noble: Every time a creature dies, you get to ping an opponent and gain some (life) advantage. When opponents are battling each other this is a fun card.
Blasphemous Act: A red Wrath that will usually cost next to nothing in the late game.
Scourge of Geier Heights: A big, happily flingable tank.
The best use for the blade that I can see is stopping them from getting lands. if you can get it out early enough, you could keep their mana count low and stop them from casting their bigger spells. Nothing competitive, but it could see a bit of casual play.
If you have a Grand Architect out with this guy, you could make a token for one mana and tap it to get two back, then pay one more mana to put the counter back on pentavus. I think something could be done with a big sacrificing loop like this. Mortician Beetle and Blade of the Bloodchief come to mind for starters.
Edit: just realized that Grand Architect taps blue creatures, not artifacts. Back to the drawing boards...

Also, more current cards of interest I have that I could add:
Any suggestions, notifications of synergy, or possible builds would be gratefully accepted.
