Just wanted to know how/if this works with the new spoiled card Chulane, Teller of Tales. Say I cast a creature card like Sylvan Ranger, would I be able to put the land I search for onto the battlefield using Chulane's trigger?
Great card! I love the options that planeswalker side has, and the creature side is very good 4/4 for 4 flying. I can see this being a really cool grixis commander.
This is a budget list I'm tinkering with. Forgoes red completely and focuses on a black splash for Driven // Despair, Doomfall, and Hour of Glory in the sideboard. These hopefully shore up most of the problems that dinosaurs may face. It's goldfishing decently. The Narnam Renegade is there to help apply early pressure, as well as be roadblock for opposing dinosaur decks. I'm definitely iffy on Cherished Hatchling, but I'm really liking the tricks you can do with it. Still working on the sideboard.
So to bring this to actually discussing the card itself, I've seen a few decks with Helm of the Host and Lyra, as well as many white lists including her as a top end finisher that MUST be answered. Her price is pretty high right now due to the set being new and hype, but if she keeps performing I think she will stay expensive for her entire standard run.
The "dies to removal" argument is valid, but if you can protect her, or the opponent can't remove her, she poses a very fast clock with the ability to stabilize against aggro (one attack is a 10 life swing), and wins in combat against a lot of things. She's honestly quite ridiculous imho.
Most likely will end up in Wx control decks that can protect her. Shame there aren't more lower costing angels, because an angel tribal deck would be fun.
With all the high power creatures in the set, I really hope Fling is in too, for the lolz.
This guy will definitely win a game or two of the prerelease, I'm sure.
All of this talk makes me want a card alter of Benalish Marshal with Idris Elba's character from Pacific Rim, the Marshall, Stacker Pentacost
I hope this post isn't locked because I do think that this is an interesting card for standard possibly. I hope it remains cheap so I can get a playset asap. Casuals like myself will love it!
Amazingly awesome card. But why is seemingly every Benalish and Serran black? Benalia was definitely European in Invasion... And am I wrong, or is every evil character white? Correct me if I am wrong, by all means.
I've noticed this as well. But it's not really surprising, given that most of WOTC hold to a far-left ideology that they try to force on us at every opportunity. From here on out we'll be seeing a lot more black and female Mary Sues, and we'll probably also see a few autistic sphinxes and transsexual dragons in wheelchairs because diversity.
I would actually love to see more black, LGBT, and disabled characters, but I'd like them introduced organically, not shoehorned in. Having what was clearly a Western medieval realm of knights suddenly filled with black people without explanation is jarring, just as having white Jamuraans in traditional African garb would be (though WOTC wouldn't do that, just as they wouldn't have blonde people on Amonkhet, because it'd be cultural appropriation, which only works one way). I know that this is fantasy and all, but suspension of disbelief and aesthetic coherence matter.
And I'm also insulted that WOTC thinks that it needs to push ethnic minority characters in order to get ethnic minority players. I come from an Indian background, and Saheeli Rai did nothing for me, because I don't need someone to share my skin colour in order to sympathise with them. I'd prefer that WOTC created characters with, y'know, character, rather than just expect us to like them because they're brown or female.
But hell, the true minority in this game seems to be people who think like us, because we get called Nazis and attacked for our opinions by the far-left people who dominate this game, including WOTC itself. End rant.
I've never really felt WotC has been forcing anything. For the most part I think they've done a good job at giving us compelling characters and stories to go along with their cards and their depictions. I'm Korean myself, and I appreciate what they are trying to do.
As for the card itself, I can't wait to get my hands on a playset. Humans/soldiers/knights have always been one of my favorite tribes. The interaction between the Marshal and Sram's Expertise is a really cool one which I hadn't thought of! I just wish the white saga wasn't mythic Will make it much harder for me to get a playset of those.
I try to avoid triple-colored in Saskia (or any other four- or five-color deck), but this one just seems too good to pass up, what with all the damage doublers.
It is. Black is the only one that hasn't been spoiled yet. There was an article that mentioned that they wanted to give each color a strong card that could really only be played in a monocolor deck.
Your opponent is playing blue, they have 3 untapped lands, and at least 2 cards in hand. Conclusion: yes, they have two counterspells, so don't even try it. The only way out is more cat snakes or big dumb dinos.
This card doesn't affect either card regardless though. I do agree though that those cards may see more play if people start playing blue based control decks.
Thank you!
Demon of Catastrophes looks great. A single sac for a 6/6 flying trample, four mana seems really good.
4x Cherished Hatchling
4x Drover of the Mighty
4x Narnam Renegade
4x Ranging Raptors
4x Ripjaw Raptor
4x Territorial Allosaurus
Spells
4x Commune with Dinosaurs
3x Doomfall
2x Driven // Despair
4x Savage Stomp
4x Blooming Marsh
13x Forest
2x Swamp
4x Woodland Cemetery
2 Deathgorge Scavenger
3x Hour of Glory
2x Plummet
Any critique is welcome!

It looks like it may. Lots of nice toys as you said. Looks to be either a control type midrange mostly blue deck, or a red/blue aggro.

Tokens as well. Midrange/stompy decks probably won't be as worried about it, but any swarm deck will have problems with this card until it is removed.
