Just was curious when searching through spoilers, saw archetype of courage (not sure if tags will work).
Creatures you control have first strike.
Creatures your opponents control lose first strike and can't have or gain first strike.
If a creature your opponent controls has doublestrike and you control archetype of courage, will the opponents creature lose the ability to deal first strike damage in the first strike combat step, or due to it being worded as doublestrike does this not effect how it would deal it's damage?
May have been a silly question, or one that was already asked but any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
It take it you are asking if guttersnipe will trigger if you sacrifice it as the additional cost to goblin grenade.
IF you are then no the guttersnipe is no longer on the battlefield when the game comes to evaluate if any triggered abilities need to fire so you won't get to do any additional damage.
I would assume this is because it is part of the cost to cast goblin grenade? If it were worded when you cast this sac a creature it would be different? Don't know if there are cards like that but just curious. Edit edit2 Nm
Hmm, thank you everyone for the great ideas! I was actually looking for library index card holders after I posted this thread, I think that would be perfect to hold my commons / uncommons. I already have them sorted by common / color/ alphabetic order. I may look at like a carry on suitcase and turn that into card storage for my decks. I will also e-mail that guy to see what he has done.
He has about the same, if not more, plus the 3 other people that play are from that town, where I'm 20 min away. I recounted, 30 decks in sleeves, 40 not. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I'm SOL.
Hey all, Wasn't quite sure where to post this, so I figured it may fit in here.
I have been looking for a good way to transport my decks to my friends house and such, just wondering besides the cardboard card boxes, has anyone found anything that is good for transporting cards and such? I have around 50-60 decks that are mostly functional(about 15-20 decks sleeved, the rest not). Sure I dont have to bring them all when I go, but I would then find myself in the situation where I would say "Man I wish i brought that deck with me". I am currently using a 5 row box and a 2 row box to transport them.... gets old carrying them around, might start throwing cardboard boxes in a duffle.
Also, I have bought WAYYYY too many cards in the past 2 years since I started playing again (took about a 9-10 year break lol) I probably have about 4-5 5 row boxes filled with just commons. I was wondering if there is any ideas out there of any storage cabinets or whatnot that people have used for organising and storing bulk common/uncommon cards. I may end up making a cabinet, but if there is a simple solution out there, does anyone have any hint/clue?
So yet another question.
Say my opponent has a death's presence and a wurmcoil engine . If I board wipe creatures or even just kill the wurmcoil say with supreme verdict or murder will he be able to stack his triggers so that he can put the 6+1/+1 counters on one of the wurms entering the battlefield? In case of murder he can choose a different creature, but the board wipe, he can or cant?
Hmm thank you for the quick reply, does that mean if you use a card like stolen goods on player A, then player A died you would retain control of his creature?
Edit: re-read what you wrote, in that case it would be exiled
Hello again, just a quick question that came up in a 3 person ffa regarding conjured currency.
Say player A has some basic land and a conjured currency owned by player B. If player A dies, does the land and cc go into player b's graveyard, or back under player B's control to use while fighting player C? I assume any of player A's cards go away and the stuff under control of player a goes into their owners graveyards.
Thanks for any help. Sorry if it is hard to follow.
Thank you, I figured as much. I will be exiling x cards with scepter, mainly for use with Nivmagus Elemental and hive mind putting sorceries in that I won't care are copied by opponents.
Hello, just had a question about interactions between cards like street spasm and isochron scepter with cards like goblin electromancer on the battlefield. Is the cmc of a card with x whatever you put in as x+the rest of the cost, or is x always 0 when looking at cmc?
I know if you exile street spasm you can't have x be a.value. it will be 0, but if you have 2 goblins out reducing its cost by 2 when you play the scepter, could the card effectively be exiled to deal 2 damage to Target creature I don't control with flying each time the scepter is activated?
0 soldier tokens. As the spell puts in human tokens, not trying to troll just pointing this out, as you may be using it in a soldier deck? But that was the question you proposed.
Hi all, was reading other posts and thought of a combo, was curious how it would interact.
Say I have nivmagus elemental and hive mind on the battlefield. Say I cast blustersquall and exile it before resolving, would each other player still get the copies as the spell never resolved, or because hive mind does not state successfuly cast they would.
Question 2: spells copied with spells like cloven casting or dual castingallow you to exile the copies produced?
