PS what does the software rendering box do (just curious)
Don't turn on software rendering. You would only use that if you don't want your graphics card to render it. If you have that set the foils will not animate.
I understand what you are saying about the fact they could keep selling older sets. Don't have an answer for that. But you could always buy older set cards from bots...
Thanks AQJ, I will keep that in mind. I mostly try to get my 4x commons and 4x uncommons from the bots that sell them for (Commons 100 or 200 for 1tix) and (Uncommons 32 or 64 for 1 tix). Then fill in any more expensive common and uncommon stragglers, rares and mythics. So I will keep my eyes open for the price drops, I don't need to have every card first day. Your insight is very much appreciated, I am sure that will help save me some $$$.
Some of the sites actually have everything in stock on day 1 of the release. The bots/sites start buying up cards as soon as the prerelease starts though. I would say most of the big bot chains are pretty well stocked by day 5 of release.
This will be my first time actively playing online when a new set is being released. I know I will find out soon enough (in a week or so), but how long after a set releases does it take for bots to start having all the cards in a new set? Day one? A week?
I also just started up MTGO after many years of exclusively paper magic.
I was wondering if someone could give me detailed instruction on how to trade/buy from the bots. Specifically, where I find them and how to proceed with a transaction.
Most bots will sell cards for Tix (Event Tickets). You can buy event tickets from the "shop" in game, 1 ticket is $1.00. In order to trade tickets for cards you will need to find the tickets in your collection and mark them as trade-able (this will allow the bot or a member to be able to get at them). Once you find a bot you want to trade with, simply right click on the bot's name and initiate the trade. As you add the cards you want to purchase to your list the bot will provide a running total of how many tickets it is going to cost. Only 75 cards can be traded in one transaction, so if you find a bot selling 200 cards for 1 tix, you will be able to get 75 cards- pay 1 ticket and the bot will remember your credit - you can then simply trade again and get the rest of your cards without paying anymore until your credit runs out.

That's all I've got. Not exactly eye close ups

Thanks for that. Going to preferences to change it during a game was painful for me.

Shipping would be like .99 from them via usps, so if you get like 5 packs or something it would be less then 6 bucks including shipping.
Wow, awesome. Thanks for the quick response.
I think i played that guy, lost on turn 2 or 3 - he got his kiln fiend up to 10 power w/ double strike. good plan on his part.

Hope that helps a bit.
