I'm not adamantly opposed to Jace, but I feel he is bad news for diversity. I believe Jordan made the point that he would set a very high (impossibly high IMO) bar for blue planeswalkers to enter modern
And how many Blue planeswalkers see any real Modern play? Zero, and it's been like that since the start of the format. In the past, there were some points when you'd see Vryn's Prodigy or Architect of Thought, but even those didn't see strong play even at the height of their popularity. The best Blue planeswalker right now, Nahiri, isn't even Blue! (and by the way, Nahiri isn't doing all that hot right now either)
It doesn't matter if Jace sets an "impossibly high bar" for Blue planeswalkers when the bar is already apparently impossibly high considering the extremely low amount of play they see.
That's not exactly true. Blue walkers to see play in modern, but the decks are generally not super popular strategies. UW control usually runs Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and Jace, Architect of Thought as one ofs, and I could easily see Jace, the Mind Sculptor slotting into that archetype over the older jace. The trouble is the second ability of Jace would require them to also unban Brainstorm as they are essentially the same thing.
Brainstorm isn't banned. It hasn't been in a modern legal set.
"Legalized discrimination against Muslim" way to spin that one. I know some people don't like to admit it but there is a group of people in this world who have declared war on our culture. What harm can come from temporarily freezing immigration until we have a better system of seeing who is and isn't coming in our country? The presidents job is to protect the rights and well being of the AMERICAN people and if suspending an aliens entry is key to doing so, then he has every right to. As far as being unconstitutional, the Supreme Court will decide that. Unfortunately there are laws stating that he can and laws stating that he can't.
This isn't the first travel ban in US history. I can't stand how media makes Trump out to be some sort of monster. In my opinion and probably many others too, he's doing the right thing.
If he activates haunted dead during your end step, then yes he has to wait till his end step to return the amalgam. However, he can return the haunted dead during your main phase to get amalgam during your end step.
I know we have stirrings but why don't we play serum visions too? I just feel it would give the deck so much better selection and filtering. I'm going to start testing it.
What would you cut? Your mana base would likely have to change as well to accommodate the need for early U mana. I'd agree that oath of Nissa would be a better filter card and I wouldn't play Oath personally..
I honestly haven't even put any thought into the mana base yet. Just pondering the idea.

I just bought this one instead of shelling out $100+. I like it.

That comment leaves me to believe the land he has in mind will enter untapped from your hand but tapped if it enters from your deck when you fetch.
Make Legacy great again.
