I was playing a 5 person game the other day. I hadn't gotten anything really going until late in the game. I placed out pandemonium and gauntlet of power, so Noran is hitting for 3 every turn. At this point one person was out of the game and Slobad has slaver lock on another opponent. To make a long story short, eventually it was Slobad and Noran left. Slobad had 8 life, 7 poison counters and I had 15 life. Slobad slaver locks me, takes one look at my hand and asks, "Do you have anything in your deck that can destroy enchantments?" I reply, "Nope." He takes a deep sigh and says, "Then I concede." HAHAHA NORAN IS VICTORIOUS!

Champion - ironically, two of those changes have already been made.
the MTGcommander forums pointed out the scrapper/vandal thing, and that changed quickly.

Chance encounter was freqeuntly useless (i do have several wins off of it though) and i wanted room for warp world again... surprise!

I hope you enjoy Norin, komrade. far more fun than that kazuul dude could ever be Grin

I will update the front page either tonight or tommorrow.

You should post your changes to the deck in the actual deck so that people who are new to trying out your build can test the newest and best. You could also bypass any information that you have already come across. Wink

Oh, I have been running the OG build and it is fun, but now I am going to swap some cards out to get better synergy. Gratz Gaka!

That's what I was hoping to hear. I have more equipment now than I did before, and the quality is increasing too. Time to get her in there.

Sucks that the realization she is cube worthy is now because about 2 months ago she was 5 bucks! Slant

Thrun is pretty beastly, run all the good enchantments and equipments and he will swing and never die.

You mind as well just play with Uril, the miststalker. Untargetable and become fat quick. Plus you get the bonus of being in 3 colors.

Zur is boring. Same thing everytime.

Uril, while similar to Zur, at least has to depend on a little bit of topdecking.

Rafiq is probably the most interesting, though also probably the weakest of the three.

It really depends on the play style you prefer. If you like control, then Zur is probably more appropriate. If you like some control with some aggro, then play Uril. And finally, if you don't care some much about control and just like the idea of raw beats, then play Rafiq.

P.S. Winning never gets boring. Tongue

Just noticed the Glade Gnarr in your avatar. That's the Remy I know.

You need to get this it your next EDH deck. Unless you don't truly love Gladener.

Lol! I know man. Luckily I don't have any generals with green in them or else he would be. Don't you worry.

I vote you run Zur. I play mainly multi player and I love Zur. Sure, he gets a lot of hate, but for me the fun comes from surpassing the odds. Bring on the hate. Not only that but he builds the board slower that the other generals, so there is a chance that he won't seem like the biggest threat.

I have both Rafiq and Uril in my play group. I find that Uril draws more hate because he has shroud and given the right opportunity, one shot players by turn 4 or 5. Compared to Zur, these 2 decks are blasting out the gates, so unless someone is educated, they will get hate sooner.

Q: Zur, Uril, and Rafiq walk into a bar...

    Experienced Bartender:
    Target 1 - Zur
Target 2 - Whoever is swinging hard.

    Unexperienced Bartender:
Whoever is swinging hardest and/or looks the most threatening.

Something to consider when building a 3 color deck is the mana base. It is probably going to be the most expensive part of the deck is you play the duals and fetches.

I have my deck in my sig if you are interesting in looking at what I run. You should also look at wtwlf123's Uril deck because that is what I am playing against and I think it is a solid build. You can find it in the deck database.

If you're feeling like a high roller and have $200 to blow Imperial Recruiter is bomb. Then put in Kiki Jiki, the Mirror Breaker, Godo Bandit Warlord. Add any artifact sword and have a field day.

Scroll Rack - I love this card, and think it's totally broken.
Capsize - One of my favorite control cards.
    Skullclamp - Just good.

    I like these choices.

Shriekmaw: Good removal, fair size. Evoke, yes please.

Gifts Ungiven: This is a utility god.

Pithing Needle: Shuts down all sorts of things. Bye bye jitte, Jace... etc.

    Notable mention: Scull clamp

Since when is it okay for a deck to be nearly $1000? It isn't. It's unfortunate that so many people have accepted that you need Jace, the Money Sculptor, just like you needed Tarmogoyf, or how you couldn't live without Bloodbraid Elf (thank god she was uncommon right?). Remember when you could build a tier 1 standard deck for under $200? What happened to that?

And assuming that people work hard for their money is laughable. You know what they say when you assume...
