Ah, so LordGrimpow was incorrect. Thanks for explaining.
Oh an unrelated note, how do people here feel about Crucible of Worlds in the side? I noticed Jim Davis won SCG Champs with 2 sideboard. I was surprised at first with how much artifact/CMC3 hate there is running around, but then I saw the 3 main Spellskites.
Okay, so I want to make sure I truly understand this from the technical side.
My opponent casts Scapeshift. It resolves. He sacrifices 7 lands, searching out Valakut and 6 mountains.
In response to the first Valakut trigger, I destroy one mountain with Ghost Quarter. That will result in Valakut only hitting me for 3, correct?
Also, will it make any difference if my opponent searches out a basic mountain from Ghost Quarter? Won't all the other mountains still check and see 5 other mountains and hit me for lethal?
I want to bring in the Pithing Needle, Negates and Squelchs vs Amulet Bloom, but I don't see anything I want to side out except for Sundering Titan and maybe Ugin.
I use Tolaria to get tron piece, academy ruins or chalice. When I played pact I would also get that.
After playing Tolaria West for a while, I feel like it's too clunky to justify playing over Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth. I think it's because its transmute cost is 1UU and not 2U. If I'm in the position where I need my last tron piece early in the game, I hate to tap UU at sorcery speed to fetch a land/chalice or, although not as bad, put an "island" into play tapped.
I played American Control (2/1), Jund Agro (2/1), 4-color control (Izzet Staticaster/Olivia/Nightshade Peddler)(2/0), Boros Agro (2/1), and Jund Agro (2/0).
I don’t have time to go into all the details but here are some key takeaways I’ll share.
Aurelia’s Fury won me 2 games on its face. Each time I cast it on my opponents upkeep. Both times my opponent had a sweeper in hand.
This deck is highly resistant to removal. Every card is a bomb that just nets you value. You don’t ever have to dump your hand and hope for the best. Careful patient play is key. In one game I ate an overloaded mizzium mortars with a healthy board only to drop a Boros Reckoner, Burning Tree Emmissary, and Huntsmaster on my next turn for the win.
2-of Wolf Run is key to put those close games in reach. With a reckoner on field and Wolf run in play your opponent is faced with a variety of bad choices when determining blockers.
Can you explain how you sideboarded for each matchup? I really like your list.
So glad I found this. Having this forum available on Tapatalk would absolutely amazing. Navigating and using MTGS on Android mobile is a huge pain. I could see myself getting a lot more done on here through Tapatalk.
As long as your opponent passes priority anytime before activating, yes.

I think I'll just side in 1x Squelch in for now and see how it goes.
