Well with the 3 W for akroma, 2+W a turn to run the mesa and WW for wrath along with UU for cancel i think that 7 duals isnt too much.. Usually first turn i ll play them tapped anyways unless i have a vision.

OK, ive been playin agro for the last few standard settings.. thought id switch to control and ive been throwin this together. Testing a bit in my free time. Seems to do ok
I say definatly fetters in the deck. The lifegain and stopping just about anything makes it work very well. Why inspiria or windreaver.. Just firemanes and maybe a meloku is enough to win with. Those are just overkill.
Personally i dont like remand.. early game you call it a timewalk, but what good does a timewalk do when you do nothing and attack for nothing on either of their turns? I would pretty much rather have a mana leak in EVERY circumstance. I would rather make their card never hit play, then stall it for a turn...
I like your build, it has a lot going for it. Early acceleration, mid-range beaters, some counter back-up, and card draw. I had considered Tidings, but honestly it worrys me. I wouldn't want to safely cast it without mana up to counter (preferrably two for the Leak, since Hinder and Voidslime dodge the Snare) just in case they tried something nasty on their turn (Wrath anyone?). That means you generally would want to wait a turn or two. Research goes off a bit quicker, though with less card advantage. Secondly, I noticed your build has much more blue coursing through them maindeck. I tried to stay away from double blue (of course Hinders are in there) as much as possible in my build. If it works for you though, then by all means abuse it! I would also like to run the Predators maindeck, but I can't find what to take out. The deck has been running smoothly, I can't find any weak links. I'll hopefully have some results by this weekend (crosses fingers). Also, how much help is the Oracle for you? I found it wanting when I ran it. Without Sensei's magic top to guide it, it's CIP feature is really a shot in the dark. Still, a cantrip or a land is great, but when I need a land, I'd rather not gamble. Still, if it works for you, then by all means keep it. Those are just my concerns.

The times that i play oracle. I love them. Its a cheap cantrip that chump blocks and sometimes gets you accel early game. its not the best, but i like it better than anything else taht would fit the spot. Turn 1 bop turn 2 kudz turn 3 double oracle turning 2 lands. That start is explosive and seems to happen more than not. Swing for 5 on turn 3 ! then frog to back it up. And, i love predators. They wreck Owl, are great vs fliers(they beat any creature exept pride they have and survive) and are a 2 power evasion. Not sure about tidings, do you think ninja Maybe ? only thing with research is sometimes it gives you no card advantage, is sorcery speed, and discarding lands with is kuzo out is :sadface:. I would play arashi, hinder/slime sideboard, but i love spell snare main deck. With wrath, this deck can beat face, while not having to overextend to do it. I have 1 kudzo and maybe a frog out and its a Must wrath situation as 2 nice sized untargetable creatures is hard to beat. That with a solifuge/meloku iin hand is very nice. also, <3 plaxmanta. I have been playing some vs firemane, and plaxmanta/solifuge/ froggy is awesome. well <3 the deck.
If you want protean hulk in the graveyard try gifts ungiven, ideas unbound, compulsive research, delerium skeins, or even macarbre waltz. If you have problems vs. aggro you could try shirei, shizo's caretaker along with kami of false hope.

Personally, i would run spell snare over Remand. Maybe i just hate remand. The ONLY match that i find it remotely useful is in Heartbeat. These are my ideas
I play WoW. I lvoe it. It's not the RPG aspect, its the MMO, and pvp. I play both Magic, Wow, have a part time job, and school. It works out fine for me.
it serves no purpose but to be cannon fodder for any deck that has any understandable ideas.

With the land/accel i think there is no reason not to play tidings. Its a bomb.
