Grove/Fire isn't the best choice in Legacy.

. . . It's played in tons of stuff, you know.

Anyway, I would bump Green Sun's Zenith up to 4. Is Safehold Elite that good? Why wouldn't you rather just play more tutors?

I've read some people here who prefer Cockatrice, and some here that prefer MWS. All of the good things that people listed about each program is featured in Lackey CCG. Lackey is far superior to both of these programs, except for the smaller player base. And if we're setting up matches with each other, there's really no reason not to use Lackey. People just need to try it out.

I'd really hate to go off topic and use this reason, but people just want to stick to what they know, I guess. Also, Cockatrice can work on Mac with no problems. This is probably the main reason, at least for me.

I'll sign up! I need to make a sideboard though; then I'll get the security code, all right?

EDIT: Got it! qv4n9p30 is it.

But is that really a good idea? Besides, in that list you run Wasteland, Sensei's Divining Top, Mox Diamond, Mox Opal, etc. Wouldn't a mono red deck that's just slightly modified be better? "12 maindeck Vindicates" and just a few money cards. . :p

Besides, they're two completely different decks, aren't they? One's a poor man's Workshop deck and the other is MR combo.

Yeah, it's possible. You may want to put it as a side combo in a deck with another focus.

Oh, come on, you cheater; we just talked on the phone about this D<

Anyway, to keep this on topic; I've been doing some calculations. Judging by the OP, I think it could be considered a budget deck. If Dredge, at $230, is considered budget, I believe that with some different card choices this could be even less than that. For example, Gamble isn't needed, and you probably could deal with 3 or so Goblin Welders.
Still, what do you guys think?

What weltkrieg said. Mighty Quinn doesn't have the bomberman combo, though, just a heads up.

I have a question: I have a limited budget, but I think I will be able to afford Mono Red Painter. The only problem is the Imperial Recruiter. Do you think this deck can be competitive on a budget without Recruiter? The only real money cards in the deck is stuff like, well, Grindstone and Goblin Welder, along with some of the lands like Ancient Tomb. Do you think this would be a good choice?

I have a question that's sort of budget related. Would there be any way to play this deck without fetchlands/Wasteland? I can afford the copies of Knight Of The Reliquary but I'm not too sure about the manabase. Mine would have to be more basic oriented if I wanted to play fetches; either that, or go basic-land-type-less duals [like the ones we have in Standard]. I'm wondering how I should go about this. Lands in the graveyard is the most important part of the Knight, and it's a bomb, but. . yeah, availability is a problem. I also don't think I'll be able to replace the Knights with anything worthwhile.

All I see are dates and prices. I don't know enough kanji to translate all of it though, so props to you Cadaverous Bl00m for doing the rest.

Heya! Welcome to the forums. Don't worry; it takes a while before you want to play Blue. :p

I'm the same as you two: once I get a little better and more organized I'll try out more competitive play. Here's to us being champions.
