I'm winning plenty; it's more that I hop around so much between decks because I grow tired of the same cards over and over again.
To address Scion and Thraxi -
Thraxi is already heavily played in my Meta, and Scion is a deck I've played multiple variants of for nearly a year now....I feel as if I need to expand my horizons, so to speak.
I'd like to have a general who is more combo / lock orientated in multiplayer setting, if that helps the demograhic at all.
[QUOTE=HalfSlothHalfCamel;/comments/4851135]You know. I have really noticed something funny about Niv-Mizzet. In the storyline he is quite possibly to most arrogant character in the Magic Universe. The funny part is that somehow this bleeds out to the players that love the card. Especially players who run him as a Commander.
thats a taking it a little too far. i've ran Niv as a general. i never thought it an unbeatable deck.
it was super fun to play, because when you went off it was game over. but i've never expected to win just because of who/what my general happened to be.
isnt that the magic of EDH? it's supposed to be a fun format where stupid combos that would never work anywhere else pop up and show you whats up.
at least thats my take on it.
i really want to make a 5 color EDH deck and i wanted to fill it with fun combos. some being infinite, some not. but i can only think a few, and they're all pretty well known.
i want combos that make my groups mouths hang open, and eyes widen at what i just did.
i just like to mention Momir Vig. he's a BAMF
it's the most cosistant win i've seen in EDH, along with Vorosh
this is what i came up with.
4x Counterspell
4x Mana Leak
4x Miscalculation
4x Rune Snag
4x Spellstutter Sprite
4x Man-o'-War
4x AEther Addept
4x Muldrifter
3x Sea Gate Oracle
25x Island
