1- masters msrp to $7 a pack. I desperately want to draft these sets but wont drop $40 on a draft ever.
2- reprint more rare nonbasic lands in supplemental producs like commander and duel decks. I dont expect snapcaster mage to ever be cheap but at least let my mana bases be affordable.
10th anniversary - rukh egg
15th anniversary - life counter char and kahmal pit figuter
20th anniversary - from the vault jace
25th anniversary - Masters disappointments.
Maybe A25s problem is that wotc does anniversaries as well as a sitcom husband and this is just a continuation of either lame or over priced anniversary product.
Absurd rares and mythics with 13 in them aside the set needs like 50 more cards to flush out the limited archetypes. But its too expensive to draft anyway so really who cares?
Magics growth isnt linear. There have been several hitsnto the player base in the past and will be more peroids of growth and decline in the future. Bannings and poor sets are a big cause but the game aint going anywhere.
I think the flip cards are pretty great (saying this as someone who doesn't like the concept). Thematically they are really cool and for an old geezer who loved time spiral block it hits the all the nostalgia buttons for me.
They are actually BETTER flipped than the old busted cards. You could included just the flipped side in cubes/casual (assuming your group is cool) if the power level is appropriate.
There is general outrage over the powering down of removal and this is one more example of wotc making piss poor removal compared to only a few yeara ago.
Also loving the unc cavern of souls. Gonna need 4 or 5 for commander decks.
Great post and cool deck! Having built krenko, purphoroos, pia and kiran naaalar, zirilian of the claw, rorix and maybe a few more mono red decks i must agree that mono red can be a bit one dimensional at times. Much of reds identity doesnt translate well to 40 life multiplayer so the few things that work like tokens get repetitive.
Grenzo is an elegant solution to the problem by opening up mono red to non red effects via your opponents spells. Goad is very much a red mechanic and gives the deck an other avenue. I would look at stuff like bedlam to help the goad games out.
What a bummer about FNM foils. Ill be a foil krosan warchief they bring back fnm foils a year from now because the data said people actually really like them.
I wouldnt worry about it. If you are trying cutthroat competition commander then yah you should get it. Otherwise you are better off gettong 4-5 $10-$20 cards which will have a bigger overall impact on the deck.

DECKLIST IN ALL CAPS PLEASE

I may have to make an 8th mono red deck now.
