Well, this isn't really a debate, because as a moral believer of balance, I more or less agree with everything you say.

Of course, my newest and latest argument is the one about matter memory; that when one particle touches another, that said particle will share and otherwise reflect whatever it is that particle happens to do somewhere else. This could lead to bigger and more wild sciences that study matter transmission, and that, in fact, our body still has a memory even after death, as well as a connection with those that one comes in contact with throughout his lifetime.

There's a brain burster for ya.

Hopefully, I'll have some items jotted down, and maybe altered a little to reflect what I think the forms should look like, or at least renamed to, so that people will know what we are talking about. Perhaps "System Cards," "System Units," "Item Forms," or whatever. "Form" is good for a general idea, but should be renamed appropriately depending on the medium they are presented in.

"What... why? Are you crazy? The Dragonriders of Solgard didn't come around until about a hundred and fifty years ago! And even then, Nay a force of ours has ever left our domain!"

Marcus was becoming highly angered at all of this. Since when did a savior become his captor? Why was he even being held hostage and not being tortured or something? His young rage started to swell within him.

(OOC: @ Feenix: Checked what though? You are being too broad in your search... "focus.")

Again, Feenix looked around, at nothing in particular, and, of course, found nothing out of place. It looked like two trees Growing out of the ground, one of them tilted sideways from who knows what. As far as particulars go, she did see the awkward tree had some sort of markings in it, which looked like nothing in particular, a patch of grass with some sticks on it, several branches growing out of the trees, some dirt by the straight tree, and, of course, the tree hump. Lash started to approach Feenix.

"We should check out that patch of trees to the south of us, see if it turns up anything."

The Librarian looked at Elesor, then back at the Captain, and fell to her knees in panic.

"Uh... oh... oh, Solus! Not again!!! NOT AGAIN!!"

The young librarian broke into tears, and put her hands on her face. The Captain turned to Elesor.

"Those things out there have had it out for our city since the beginning. When they first came, the Onuus heard whispers on the wind, or so the history books say, that sounded a lot like "Goozolaxus." The Onuus wrote of the first invasion, referring to them as the Gozhuloxus, or the Golox for short. Demons on the wind, whose spells are neither magic nor physical. I know so much because all Solus Guardians study these texts written by the Onuus. It's what we use to train."

Elesor looked intrigued as the captain continued.

"But, but these... They are not like the Onuus described them. These are bigger, uglier, and by far more powerful than the ones described in the texts."

A howl of wind turned to a screech as a Golox came close to the Solustarus.

"I just wish I knew what they wanted... Why do they keep attacking Solgard!?"

A loud thud came at the door to the Solustarus.

From the crowd, the Mapmaker was awed.

"Go, boy! You can do it!"

The Mapmaker got a satchel of peanuts from a vendor, and started to listlessly eat away at them.

Brodi looked confused. The cat looked strange to him, as he munched on a piece of meat snatched from the vendor on his way here. He thought the cat was interested in his food, but apparently, this wasn't the case. He tried to shoo the cat away, and called out from where he was standing.

"Umm, yeah! Your cat is standing next to me! Why is that?" Brodi's face was stuffed with a mouthful of meat as he called this out. "...Did I do something wrong? Oh man! I did it again! Please! Don't send me to the rat collector again! I don't want to go back to jail!"

    Marcus was rather confused.

"Wha- What? Attack? Solgard has never made war with any other nation of this land. We have been fighting a war with our own demons, which are currently plaguing our lands as we speak!"

Marcus felt betrayed. No time in the history has Solgard made war with any people...

"I was travelling as a diplomat to other cities when something attacked us from behind! You are ridiculous to think that our country would make war with yours..."

The burly looking man looked down at Pandora.

"Hush! The first round is about to start, and you should be on your guard! It's the animals versus us!"

    Pandora blinked again.

    "What?"

The crowd steadily cheered as Orophin was pushed into the line, having a large helmet put on him, his topdress stripped, and given a random weapon, which of all things, turned out to be a mace he could barely wield.

    ----------------

    Axe of Ghourlam
Weighing almost fifty pounds, the Axe of Ghourlam is an extremely heavy weapon, both with a spiked hilt and a double-head. While in all respects it looks nothing more than a simple war axe, the secrets of the Ghourlam are within the movement. Once the wielder of the Ghourlam starts moving the axe, the balance and stability of the weapon starts to increase, thus allowing the wielder quicker blows and more smashing hits. This weapon was used by the Berserkers of Ghourlam, their mystics imbewing the weapons with all of the ferocity of the berserkers.

    ----------------

Orophin looked around, and found three other people standing in a line with him. Two other men were brought out, another slave of sorts, and the sixth a brutish looking amazonian female, who dwarfed the man standing next to the bar patron from earlier. A voice erupted over the crowds, and soon, the people were at an audible silence.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR THIS NIGHT'S AWESOME LINEUP!!! AS YOU CAN SEE FOR OUR FIRST MATCH, 6 MEN WILL FIGHT IT OUT AGAINST OUR EXOTIC COLLECTION OF BEASTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD! ARE YOU REEEEAAADDDDY TO RUUUUUUMMMMBLLLLLLLEEEEEE?!?!?!"

The crowd roared again, as the announcer gave the go.

    "LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!!"

Portcullis' around the ring started to open as several beasts slithered, crawled and walked their way out into the arena. By the time they stopped coming, easily fifteen beasts, if not more, paced around. All natures of creature were in the arena at this moment, including one giant cobra (about 12 feet long), three ghouls, a twisted ent (about the same size as the amazonian), two lions, a bear, two giant wolf spiders (about four feet in diameter), a lycanis majori (half werewolf, half werebear), and maybe five reanimated skeletons, with a kobold necromancer standing behind.

The older slave screamed in horror as one of the lions pounced on his next meal, tearing the first slave to shreds. As of right now, this was a battle royale.

The Bigger veteran looked at the four remaining contestants.

"You guys want to live? Stay close!"

I feel for your loss, bro. It's always tough to lose a family member. Keep your spirits high, and smile. If you want, we can even have another religious debate! Smile

Lash was searching the grounds away from where Feenix was looking, while before her were the two lousy trees. Time was definitely wasting if either the Dragon or Feenix wanted to accomplish anything intelligent.

    "C'MON!!"

Something snapped back to reality as Elesor was retrieved from his stupor, a Solus Guardian picking him up and having roused him a little. The Captain and his three other troops made high tail for the Solustarus. High pitched screams were heard everywhere, as other detachments of Guardians had arrived on the scene, fighting several of the airborne creatures.

Elesor and the four Solus Guardians made headway across the bridge as the two stationed Guardians opened fire on a Golox above. The five ducked into the doorway as two of the Captain's men posted up their weapons and fired a few bolts off.

Inside, the Librarians were speechless as they stared at the doorway in horror. A young female had dashed up to the Captain.

    "W-what's going on out there?"

    The Captain was distressed.

"Take cover young lad... No need to panic. The Guardians are here."

The Librarian responded, "you didn't answer my question. What's going on?"

The Captain took a deep breath, and returned his gaze to the door.

    "The bad guys are back."

Brodi sighed, and followed the general direction of the people towards the Mayor's house. His stomach grumbed again, reminding him how hungry he was. He started looking for a food vendor before heading towards the Courtyard.

Brodi was enthralled. He pocketed his quick cash, and went through the crowds, looking for another purse to cut. He stopped as he caught glimpse of these people making headway for the nearby buildings.

"What is going on up there?"

Brodi pushes forward towards the gate, as one of his free hands slips into a women's item bag this time, searching for something of value.

Feenix and Lash made their way to the two trees; one of them was standing straight while the other looked like it had been pushed partially over by high winds or something else. As they came closer, Feenix's suspicions had turned out to be correct; something had definitely knocked over the tree in the past. It appeared to have kept growing, the roots reforming back into the soil, and growing like a hump out of the ground.

Lash: Let's take a look around...

(OOC: Let's see what your Icarii vision can spot... ;))

    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Indeed, the captain was the least of Elesor's worries. In fact, trying to duck was also another thought that got quickly moved to the back of his head. He saw the screeching Gozhuloxus approaching him, the creature's mouth opened wide and revealing a new type of doom to the imp...

It was like a dream... so beautiful, yet so horrific! This was no magic at work... nothing magical about it. It was... sanity slowly melting away. This was something that works at the mind. Darkness in an everlasting light... The twisted memories of my family and my home... It was like a bed of rest as the maddening pain lulls my soul to sleep...

The captain was begrudged with himself. This elvish fellow who had nearly cost the lives of his squadron was about to be mowed down by that flying terror in the sky, and he couldn't let himself or his comrades to his fate. He pointed his sword at the beast.

"...AT THE CREATURE!!! FIRE AT THE CREATURE!!!"

The Solus Guardians aimed their fire at the Golox beast, and unleashed a fury of arrows and bolts which impaled into the chest and under chin of the flying horror, causing it to try and pull up from his dive bomb. No dice.

Elesor, coming out of his trance, felt as powerless as the man who was dropped by the flying creature. This demon was not a run of the mill lackey, but a full-out weapon of destruction.

"C'mon, elf! Let's find some better cover if you want to live!"

Let me just start out by saying your "laws" are well written and in good spirits.

Now I have a few Conundrums and ideas to tickle your brain with. My first is the idea of there being multiple retainers operating a ship at a time, both NPC and PC. Would the idea of hiring out retainers be of any consolation to your laws inscribed here? And thus forth, calling them retainers? For instance, said pilot hires out a willing Retainer (hired from a planet, nonetheless) who will in fact give the ship bonuses (and possibly even penalties) to the Number of posts that an item is capable of being used, ie. A ship gets an extra manuever or two for the engineer that was hired on to [Owner]'s boat.

And what about the amount of activity per post? How do we discriminate against those that wish to fire several weapons at a time while performing multiple manuevers?

My other qualm with the post situation is the one of when there are more than two people present within a thread, thus causing a multi-user engagement. Your said policies work when the numbers are 1 vs 1, but what about 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, or even a 1 vs 1 vs 2? While said engagements are unlikely, they can and may even happen.

Beyond what I have already stated, I like your instated laws, and I will thus create a wonderful array of items and skills for each who wishes to empower their characters and ships.
