    wolf,

I've been cubing a long time and read this forum daily but hardly post. I have a 540 cube that is very similar to your 450. I was going over your list and just wanted to ask why you run/don't run a couple cards. One, Triskilion. I run the 3rd masticore over him and love him. He has proven to be very good. Just wondering why you might not run him instead (i know you have run triskilion for a long time and like that card). I just never had success with him. Another one, the tab at p vale. Just wondering why you don't run this card as you run most all the other powerful cards. I personally run it for flavor and the fact that it is extreamly powerful with the later being the main reason. I've found it goes great in control builds and I find control has been struggling a little now that aggro has gotten so much help lately. Anyways I think the card is pretty good. Another one, chained to the rocks. Just picked this up and put it in my boros section in place of boros reckoner. Just wondering your thoughts on the card. I have not tested it yet, and while I hate to drop a boros card that deals direct damage I think a 1 drop removal spell is pretty good.

Please keep in mind that there are at least 15 cards that I interchange just cause I have them and like to test them. For instance Domri Rade is usually not in my cube along with a few others. I was holding off on buying the 2 new planeswalkers but after reading how well they have been doing I think I will try them out. One other card I am going to get that don't have is spectral possesion. Thinking about taking out the 3 drop agani. My cube is fully pimped besides a foil polluted delta and a beta wrath. Just got my foil Jace today.

Anyways, I am always down to discuss more cards, I have put in a lot of time in discussion with my other buddy (also a 540 powered), testing and reading.

    Let me know...

btw, I put my cube up here: http://cubetutor.com/viewcube/3452

Looks like a pretty good card. I would most likely not run it in a control deck, but I could see it helping if you were only splashing red for something else like pyroclasm, wildfire, spot removal or something. I don't mind having more draw spells in my cube too. I would most likely run this in a tempo deck. Having this in a deck where you don't need a certain card but more cards will always play out well. I think it is in the best guild section for such a card as well.

My biggest concern is what to take out? I run a 540 powered cube with 5 guild cards. I currently have Ral, Fire//Ice, Electrolzye, P-Bolt and Izzit Charm. The only cards I could see taking out would be Charm or P-Bolt which both don't see too much play here.

As for the "you won't get the one card you need scenario as your opponent picks," that's fine in my opinion. There are plenty of other cards in my cube that would better benefit that kind of deck (CONTROL). I think no matter what you are still getting 2-3 cards in your hand for 4 mana at instant speed. This card is for tempo, reanimation, and counter-burn.

I am curious to see how it plays out and have some high hopes for it. I also think that picking the piles yourself can be an advantage over FOF in tempo decks. Might take out izzet charm for it as I love burn and card draw (keeping p-bolt)

I'd rather include the Behemoth, since Terrastodon is just an inferior version of Woodfall Primus.

I think you have this backwards. The Don is way better IMO. You can kill the one card they have that is hurting you and be up a 9/9 and a 3/3 on them. Or you can kill 2 of their permanents and equalize on creatures while being up 6 power. Or u can always go for the kill and blowup all your stuff. Primal is good just not anywhere near the Dons power. Of course this is all situational.

This guy is really fun and good. I don't think I will be taking him out anytime soon. I also am a big fan of 1 W costed 2 drops. I have seen this guy work against you at times but if you draft and build the right deck and play him right he is boss. It's nice to have some main deck artifact hate.

For those of you who run this card.... why? I understand that if you hard-cast and kick him you win the game but he only works at 7 mana. Otherwise you probably lose the game if cast at 5. This means he can't be reanimated or cast for 5. I just don't understand why you would run this card unless you had a very large cube. Maybe I am missing something.

    Thanks

I would play misstep and spell snare in every deck. They r that good. Especially in tempo decks.

True as of every card. I just thin it's easier to play it right than most people I guess.

Yeah we'll most legacy decks run 4 of every card. Like I said... Lots of cards are bad top decks and you can only run one of every card in cube. That shouldn't shy you away from running powerful cards.

I would never cut a splash card that draws 3 for 2. This card only sucks if you play it wrong.

[QUOTE=Chisinf;/comments/4507476]They threaten but it is never something i would worry about. Tutors don't matter, top is such a durdly card, skullclamp can get annoying, thoughtseize is only really good if your hand depends on a particular card, creatures can be dealed with using cheap removal or stonewalled. 1 mana removal happens and its not such a blowout that i want a 1cc counter.

You should take those cards out then.

This card has been in my cube since the beggining. There was a while when I didn't draft it as I picked other cards that I thought would help my deck more. Then my friend builds a green white aggro deck with it and reminds me why it's such a powerful card. All my counter spells were dead. Just like a lot of great cards in cube it is not what you want to see as a top deck. But that goes for thoughtsieze and black vise and a grip of other cards. You should never cut a card based on that thinking. I suggest playing the vial. It's a really really good card.

    riptide laboratory

Saw this card mentioned in the tribal post and thought it deserves its own. How many wizards are in people's cubes? I will count mine once I have a second but I'm thinking a lot. Might play like a one sided karakas? Thoughts? Experiences?

Misstep is not only good in control decks and preordain is good in any deck. I like preordain in rug tempo or American tempo the best but run it in every deck with blue. Mental misstep finds a home in aggro, tempo, control, ramp and combo. Basically everything. If I notice my opponent doesn't have many one drops I might side it out but usually that's the game they drop a turn one land tax followed by a sol ring...

Bye way wolf thanks for the calculations
