Nothing, our group as decided to avoid most of the ban because whe believe that the edh banlist commitee might be a bunch of monkey that only listen to player complaint instead of actual card power.

But if i had to in my current deck i guess i would have to get myself a terrastodon or an avenger of zendikar now that i got free space.

Karametra sure look weak at first sight but she need the right deck,it not rare that in my bant deck i play 4 to 5 creature a turn and thus she empty out my deck leaving me with what i want to draw.

I can't judge most god since i havent played them or they dont fit my color but here whe got based on deck ive seen and deck i play.

    1st place: Thassa,cheap strong 2 relevant ability.
2nd place: Erebos, still relatively cheap, easy to active,2 extremely good ability.
3rd place: Karametra,Costy but big hard to use ability but quite effective (especialy with shockland) in my own bant deck she can fetch out 16 land.
4th Place: Ephara,in the right deck she will get you 1 card per upkeep and been in the right color you can protect her.
5th place: Heliod,a great token make that hard to get right of altougth somewhat costly he fare well in deck that utilize creature or enchanment count, his passive ability if a bit less relevant but still good.

I think realistically he'd be 1/2 with tribute being 1 and costing 2R. For control players thinking about this little Minotaur, he'd force them to take 2 damage from a shockland, or prevent from making a play if they're playing scrylands t1 and t2.

A 1/2 body with haste that destroys a land for 2R is good, and a 2/3 with haste for 2R is decent. This dude would be epic.

But I don't think Wizards would print him Frown

again in this case tribute 1 make it too bad,i rare case wouldnt you want to take 1 more damage instead of losing a land.

Plenty 2/3 haste or similar have been made and never played an actual good balance must be made. Tribute 1 too weak tribute 2 a bit too strong and tribute 3 just overpowered.

So the choice would stand at whe print a useless common/uncommon ribute one or whe print a good rare tribute 2.

My guess being the later, altougth another crappy card is an all to possible thing with wizard.

    wow wow wow right there.

We all know wizards do not print land destruction in 3cc, but you try to balance this out because the opponent can choose to face a 4/4 haste from turn 3 and on? at uncommon?
Make it 2/1 and tribute 1 and I can see this card in the realm of printability.

Tribute 1 would be underwhelming and 2/1 too easy to get rid of. i coulf see tribute 2 1/2 giving them the choice of a 3/4 that doesn't die to bolt or a 1/2 that blow a land.

Id rather add some dual with Blue just to remove that vanilla minautor and play a clone over it.

Honestly, I'm not quite impressed by Karametra, but still I find her good since she could fetch you Dual Lands and Shock Lands, albeit only tapped (which is not really good).

a deck focused on her (example EDH) would play the amulet that make permanent enter untap.

Karametra gonna go in my Bant flash shell.

Altougth one could says ephara be more usefull i already got plenty draw engine (sphinx and urban) so karametra gonna be used to completely flush most of the land out giving me the draw i need.

and with the 2 new land i can finaly get rid of gate that were filling that spot (4 shock 1-3 gater of each now they are gonna be temple.) in my deck she can fetch up to a total of 16 lands which make it realy usefull.

TLDR She great in the right deck altougth not super awesome so i recommend not more then 3 max (il be using 2 probably)

The reason it wont be played is because of conditonal hexproof,if it was alway hexproof that wouldve been a playable card.

    Quote from HawksSoc
If I had to guess, I'd say its cos they're just that, 'minor gods', there has to be something that makes them less impressive or cool then the big 5, so they lose something in comparison to them.

Something to make them less impressive uh... what about require 7 instead of 5 or what about being 2 color making devotion harder or the fact they dont synergy as well as whe could have hoped with hybrid card or the fact that they have no weapon (that whe know).

They couldve made them less "godly" by nerfing 1 aspect, nerfing 5 was a bit too much.

Coincidentally, Michael Jordan was also a black Human Wizard. Sure, lots of cards will far short of Bob when compared but that's doesn't mean a card is good if it has similar qualities either. So let's pick it apart.

Bob unconditionally draws cards every turn. Dark Seer, barring shenanigans (that probably aren't worth doing), will never give you a card the turn after it came into play. Then the board needs to be clear and your opponent had to not have removal. I'm not using the removal argument here, being a simple 2/2 that needs to attack and THEN survive til your next turn isn't a cake walk. So you play Thoughtseize and cheap removal so it can get through. At that point you're either working too hard for a little value (and again your opponent gets to draw a card and untap before you have a chance to get a trigger still) OR you're a black-base aggro deck, like Rakdos. That's an oversimplication in some ways but those are my basic thoughts on the matter. It looks like a standard card primarily, and it won't go in as many deck archetypes as people may think.

Pain seer + Instill energy + Springleaf drum
Pain seer + Nature's Chosen + Springleaf drum
Pain seer + Paradise Mantle + Freed from the real or Pemmin's Aura (This combo goes Ad nauseam for 1 less but for 3 instead of 1 card, altougth only 2 are realy vulnerable to being counter/destroyed etc, paradise can be reused.)

and there are other way to combo him too,he weaker alone then bob but he has more synergy then bob also.

    New bob is quite something.

Yes it doesn't beat old bob, why? because bob does his job alone.

But why does new bob also beat old bob?because he more flexible and can bring real potential to the table.

Does new bob has good friend to go with him? why yes!

-Quirion Ranger , Scryb Ranger , Wirewood Symbiote.

    Enchant aswell? hell yeah!

-Freed from the Real, Instill Power , Nature's Chosen , Pemmin's Aura , Second Wind.

But what about artifact? Well since you ask!

-Paradise Plume , Magewright's Stone , Leonin Bola , Thornbite staff , Umbral mantle , Springleaf Drum.

Don't judge based on what it not but rather on what it is,he not bob but as i like to call him now...Pierre.

    He different...but good.
