Wow has it been this long since my last visit? I think about maybe some 4 years or so. Much has passed since then I also got married (i promise this is relevant) so having a wife is not easy specially when you marry a spoiled little girl whom you love because she is your spoiled little girl and love spoiling her.
So I befriended a jeweler whom I've helped a lot this years and we're really good friends, I've loaned him some money and he has offered to pay me with. Yup, you guessed it, free jewelry, turns out girls can have too many diamonds and pearls and rubies and emeralds and sapphires and opals and jets. wait...
have i just... mentioned the MOX JEWELRY JEWELS?
Yes, yes I have my friends, but they wont be fake jewels or they are GIA certified jewels with certificate upon request!
So this guy and his jewelry brand and I, after working on my wife's jewelry line among other projects. We've decided to make Magic Related Jewelry replicas.
But it has been so long ive been off the game and I would like to know, what is your favorite MTG Jewelry? or What would you love to see in a replica?
Ill add pics of the Jewels, we're currently working on a Volkan Baga's Mox Pearl replica. Itll take a bit to finish but I would like more ideas other than the moxes, which ill use to attend the next pre-released cosplaying Urza.
Hi boys! i know this is necro threading and all but just an update, i played that weekend with the girl, soulsisters deck she might have liked it sooo much we married on august 9, 2016!
Good day to everyone, Im new at this section of the forum, and english isnt my native language but I'll do my best to be comprehensible. A friend of mine is trying me to get into competitive Magic, I usually play casual and have LOADS of cards, I make new decks every weekend all of them are very succesful except this one dredge deck, I make lots of misplays and still not get a good idea of what to do! Im writing up my build so you can have a look and probably if you want to, tell me any mistakes im doing with this deck.
To be included in the future: Either Tireless tribe or Putrid Imp, 4 of them. (Evasion or a great blocker, no way to lose here)
Elesh Norn (which I think is great for that last zombie attack) Also some new cards that I seen in Dark Ascencion but im not discussing that here since I dont have a good idea how they work.
Wheel of Fortune (discard and get cards, awesome)
Usually my games tend to be long around 7 or 8 turns, and this is an early turn win deck, either im doing something wrong, or i got the wrong cards or BOTH. Just be nice with this newbie on competitive, all ideas are greatly appreciated, my meta is run by a Modern Bant aggro built, a Goblins deck, Faeries and some Reanimator brew.
So sideboarding is new to me and I accept any help! I have a lots of cards and budget except its not infinite! I cannot go buying power 9 so easily.
I will talk to my friend and try to convince him to drop the Swords altogether, swapping them for cheap sorceries like Catastrophe_2 said, and support more the KotR with a bit more fetchlands. Should I add more Qasali-Pride Mages? I really dont know if we should drop the Geist, he and the enchantments are fun to play. I'll try a new build of it and post our experiences, any other suggestions are welcome, though!
Hello, a friend of mine which has been re-introduced to the game is trying to build a new deck and we're looking for feedback, its a Bant colored deck which seeks to win either
by using any sword on tarmogoyf, powering up knight of the reliquary or enchanting any creature (most of the times, Geist of Saint Traft) with either Eldrazi conscription or angelic destiny, he (and well, me too) is new to deckbuilding, would you be so kind to give us some suggestions for this deck?
It seems like a singleton deck but its actually a testing, if you have any experiences with this or a similar build please tells us about them and we will playtest them, we usually have more cards for those that seem singleton. Add a new card? Remove some? Reduce numbers? Needs more white creatures? no problem we inherited our crazy uncle's fortune in MTG binders and we're ready for deckbuilding (by inherited i mean bought, by crazy uncle it was the LGS but we do have a really big card pool) Please help us! We want to terrorize kitchen tables in basements.
Elmaik, why doesn't that deck run normal counterspells? Unless I'm somehow missing it, I don't see any normAl counterspells. There should be 4, with the forces. My buddy runs 4 of both and 3x mana drain in his ub control suite, and it's incredible...so that's how I'd recommend updating it if cost is really no option.
While incredibly effective, normal counterspells aren't very amusing. I've got several of them and I will try them, its just that I've always thought there should be something extra for the countering (like mana drain) im also willing to pay a little extra mana on it for an extra effect (like cryptic command), or have more options (like perplex does) but maybe good old counterspells will do their job and counter some spells
As for the decks of my friends, one only plays bant colors and hates red and black so I cannot get him to play a race agains me in black suicide (he thinks my deck is stupid because of bitterblossom making me lose life). mono red might do for another player in my playgroup but as I've come here I have absolutely no idea of what to build for him.
I'd be happy to help you as well as all those above. I'm mostly busy today though, so don't think I've left.
Funny thing, I'm one of the ones who first designed Bant Conscription when the best thing we had to work with was still Gigantiform. Once conscription came out, it was just too easy.
Hi again, I've finally got out of work and wrote up my decklist, if you have any suggestions for it I'll give em a try.
Our playgroup really needs ideas for new decks we don't really know what kind of decks to build for us, we are 4 persons in our playgroup and the only one with a deck is me and I play faeries which is nearly invincible for all the other players.
We need decks that are fun to play with and that can also beat faeries, if you need the deck list of the faeries deck to beat just let me know. One friend wanted to go Bant Conscription but that's easy to lose against faeries (counter sovereigns and that's all you need).
There is also another player new to the game totally which wanted to play a great deck so we built him a caw-blade but we'rent so sure if it is a good deck to win against faeries. We don't want to break up the playgroup due to that faerie deck AND I wont stop playing faeries.
There is also another returning MTG player who has no deck as of right now, he likes wolves and animals (he is a "furry") and is looking up to Innistrad Werewolves but needs a deck in the meantime.
Would you be so kind to help us? We have a nice budget but not unlimited.
Ive personally found that this site is very helpful it made my faerie deck great I usually go to the casual forum since thats the only way I play, but if you seek a more competitive format try the other sections.
I also helped a friend build a goblin deck but its more fun than competitive, if you'd like I can check his decklist for you and send it to you if you'd like to try.
Thanks everyone for answering! Iv'e already seen some of your deck proposals, I like them and probably will play/test Ace's curio enchantment, it looks fun, but before starting the deck building I would like to explore more options.
@Sanity's Eclipse: Thanks for answering but could you please elaborate a bit more about a shaman deck? Ive never tried one of those before, about infect I'll give it a try!
@Ace: Your curio decks looks awesome! I'll check right now if I have some of those cards and build it as soon as I can!
@Dubious: Golgari from Ravnica? I've never played with it I left it because I thought Ravnica sucked (says the man who thinks kamigawa is great...) but now that I have read of it, I would love to give it a try! I'll google it up, anyway, if you have any personal recommendation I'll take a look at it.
First I want to thank all of you that helped me achieve to building one of my most greatest decks ever ( I asked you for help my faerie deck and its awesome ). You guys rock!
The thing is I've already had a lot of fun with my current UB Faerie deck, its great and all but matches get boring from time to time (most of them I end up winning) and I would like to take a new deck to its glory, just I do not know which one!
A friend of mine suggested me to play with colors green and black, I don't know of any deck to try out with these colors, I'm also open for ideas to make any other deck, I've been playing since Judgement, left after kamigawa, came back on timespiral left on lorwyn then back to Alara, I got a great pool of cards to use and lots of rares, so if anyone can kindly suggest me a deck to try out I will thank you, just as a note, it has to be fun to play, and if possible, flavorful.
Thanks a lot in advance, and feel free to kill my post if this is (or is in) the wrong place.
Hello ladies and gents from the casual forum, first of all thank you all for reading this I know it takes time and effort but I really appreciate it. I think this is the community where I've been more active (even though i have a low post count).
First of all the the guy wants to win, and among our metas are Faeries (a deck you can all check below in this very forum), Goblins, Samurai Bushido, Angel Control.
His idea for a deck is using strong creatures and as fast as he can, I thought about cheating them with either reanimator or a piper-sisay legend deck, while a great idea I think that we already played those archetypes to boredom and would like to check out something new.
He has chosen his color already, R, BG, among card he likes are Birds of ParadiseLotus Cobra. He used to play Bant but dropped it because I would always counter his sovereigns, goblin guy beats him quickly, samurai bushido was me and angel control got his creatures out of the way always.
Any idea for a deck? I accept many different suggestions for decklist to check them out before I can start getting my hands on actually getting them, so please consider a normal to high budget not very extra rare, I was thinking something along a Dragonstorm deck but not very convinced by the idea, is this any good?
Well for tl;dr, new guy wants new deck please help
