Can one imagine if there're 20 more playable uncommons in Theros? That'll improve red significantly. The quality of draft was be sooooo much better than having Witches' Eye in all your three packs. ugh.
That's just bad limited design.
Theros was very questionable. I've seen too many dead packs.
If you're playing a slow control deck, this card goes up in value. Along with several Scry lands and Dissolve you'll usually be able to do something with the top of your library, which might be a subtle but powerful advantage. Only time will tell.
To say Boros is the only straight guild deck you could do is just bs lol. This format is so young, it's just not true. Won with mono-blue splashing a timy bit of red yesterday so don't discount anything.
I find that Dimir decks flop easily without a couple Raptors or a slew of Sprites. At least one Deathcult Rogue is preferred, too. I've had success with aggressive UB strategies and heavier black-focused decks that look to gain value out of Spectacle/Balustrade Spy/Death's Approach and win in the air. Both are fun to play but I'd hedge on the aggressive build in a competitive scenario.
A friend and I were about to make a Modern deck on MTGO, but we don't plan to anymore. The ban list is haywire, and one of the biggest pulls to playing Modern for me is that I can keep the deck "eternally," but this doesn't seem to be the case right now.
no cards that have not already been seen in their current form (i.e., the new card frame)? If that is the case, what purpose is there for this set to even exist?

Definitely picking up 4 of each before their prices jump!
RTR and GTC have fine removal at common, this set just fleshes out your options.
Not sure why people are still going about that blue rare.
Best card in this lot is Clan Defiance, shouts to the Guildmage for limited though. Can't wait til drafts hit MTGO.
