Are you sure he interpreted it correctly? They could've meant more commander decks in the sense of a new printrun from the same decks(because at least over here everybody's running out again).
It will most likely be Garruk and I believe that he will be B/G since Liliana basically turned him into a zombie
Will most likely not happen, same reason Bolas 2.0 is very unlikely to happen. Even though it seems to be a very dark setting, I REALLY doubt we'd get 3 black planeswalkers in the first two sets of the block, especially if there are only two in Innistrad. It will most likely be something completely different, to contrast it. A B/W Ajani seems to make a lot of sense.
There are still plenty of artifacts around, especially people experimeting with Tezzeret decks etc...
But you do have a point, if you're mostly facing twin, demistify is really good (play two in SB of my Mono White deck), especially because it can't be Spellskited.
Reclaim doesn't really make a lot of sense with Noxious Revival being in NPH which is in 99.9% of the cases strictly superior, but oh well it's okay in limited, I guess.
Come on, he has even the same style of blue and red clothing, and the city in the background is Ravnica (well, save for the levitating buildings that we have not seen before...but that does not mean that they do not exist.
Actually we have seen them before, if you look closely at this comparsion from page two:
Wouldn't be much point in going to the trouble of updating a relatively new Planeswalker if there's a chance a new version of Lilliana is coming up in Innistrad and would just trump it anyway.
That, and Sorin has actually already been confirmed as his Zendikar version.
Was actually pretty obvious considering Jace's Archivist and Garruk's Horde have almost no synergy at all with their Lorwyn equivalents, compared to Chandra's Phoenix and especially Gideon's Avenger whose synergies are exquisite.
Chandra will most likely be in Ablaze form because of her synergy with phoenix, while Garruk and Jace will be in new forms which synergize with their rare creatures.
Looking at Phoenix and Avenger, they all seem to go with their respective planeswalker's + ability, suggesting this will be the same for Garruk and Jace.
Jace's ability is hard to guess, but Garruk will most likely either tutor up creatures and put them on top of your library, or benefit somehow from casted creature spells (Until end of turn, whenever you cast a creature draw a card or something like that).
I'm surprised noone has mentioned Spectral Searchlight yet. I think it's the likeliest of the Darksteel Ingot, Obelisks, Coalition Relic, etc... style manafix we're going to get, as it has its political uses as well.
You realize Zendikar doesn't have much in the way of mythics right?
In fact if in zendikar instead of 1 in 8 packs having a mythic they just had an extra basic land the rares would only have to go up by 37.5% to cover the missing value. They would only have to go up by 20% if they went back to the old system of a rare in every pack.
And that Mythic rare keeping rares cheap is working so well for sf mystic.
What he's saying isn't that people are opening Zen because of Mythics and have tons of the rest of rares lying around like Stoneforge & Jace, what he's saying is that with the introduction of Mythic Rarity, they infact introduced something more like uncommon-rares and made mythics the old rares. Regular rares are now printed nearly twice as often as those in sets before there were mythics, thus greatly increasing the supply of them. Without mythics everybody would complain about the obscene prices of any lands in standard, so I'm actually greatful they exist. Jace would've costed just as much as he does if he were printed in an old set, say future sight. Look at the price of Goyf and he wasn't played much in standard. Imagine how expensive he'd have been as a standard staple and legacy staple? Yeah now compare to Jace.
I've got to say I'm perfectly happy with the ammount of hate against PWs in this set. Should be enough to definitively make an impact. Any more would probably make it nigh impossible to even play planeswalkers in standard. I know a lot of you want that to happen but that's not a healthy metagame either.
Don't hate on the cards before you've actually seen them in action.
Also there's even more hate, while certainly not directly designed for this, Karn and Exclusion Ritual can also deal with PWs, not to mention SoWaP which should be really good at eating them as PWs are usually played in control decks.
I find it rather curious that they did not announce imprint returning. We do have an already confirmed card with imprint (Invasion Parasite) so I wonder what they're up to.
You posted the wrong art, Sensor Splicer is actually the other white card art. Can't be bothered to post it what with image leeching and all. Anyway it's more probable this is a white partial cycle, three cards or so, used to represent either one, or multiple of the Machine Orthodoxys factions.
~ comes into play tapped.
:symtap:: Add or {pw} to your mana pool.
An uncommon cycle with one for each colour... Sounds plausible to me!
Yeah because strictly worse lands than basics are sure going to see a lot of play...
Now I really hope they do print enemy duals, I'm a big fan of enemy colour combinations and a lot of the decks I'm trying to build fail because of lack of duals.
Also almost every relevant dual cycle this far (with exception of those in WWK and thus far M11) have been completed, as far as I know (Alpha Duals, Ravnica, Shadowmoor, Painlands, etc...) and since new Phyrexia is bigger than a normal last set it might actually happen.
Actually he wasn't a pitfighter, in fact he went in there to stop Elspeth from fighting.
Also those are spells cast by Ajani, you can even see him casting them when you look closely. While you are right that this only hints at his origin being the Nacatl it also means that him transforming to green isn't all that unlikely. Although a right out transition might be a bit much, I think him showing up W/G in New Phyrexia might be possible, as we have no idea thus far who could be a planeswalker in NPY. Of course there could also simply be none, but it's been a while since we've had a new green walker so there almost has to be one. I also doubt Garruk will be in the first Innistrad set, as he's in M12.
As for the topic itself, I still firmly believe that M12 is to represent Gideon's quest to gather allies against the Eldrazi and Nissa isn't included because Sorin hates her and Garruk has a past on Zendikar (leads Jace there).

you can see that the buildings appear on the plains as well, in the distant background.
