You're kidding yourself if you believe for a moment that a 5/5 flier for 2RR is in any way, shape, or form bad. And truth be told, it's not all that much worse. Unless your opponent has an instant-speed exile ability or the immediate ability to block it, the correct choice will always be to make it that massive flier.
Hero of Iroas is pretty sweet, and might be the card Heroic needed to make it in standard. Entirely dependent on how good that deck actually is, though.

Well they work together so it isn't that dead. But if you are not depending on a defender theme then yes she beats the pants out of that guy. I am getting sick though of mana dorks at higher rarity. But I guess the hexproof does push it over the top for it to become rare... so I guess we are not getting sorcery/instant mana ramp anymore? Seems so heavily pushed.
they banned all the efficient mana spells in modern. Pretty sure those are dead forever.
Was thinking that this would be a pretty sweet card to turn your post wrath game into something legitimate. Probably not better then Ranger of Eos + Proclamation of Rebirth, if you are in white. But in BUG, or UG this would become pretty abusive. Play a dork, get a 3/3. play a Beck, get 3 counters on your Jorgoa Warcaller.

I will also be trying a full set of O - Ring, and Detention Sphere and a Martial Law or two.
Mostly a sphere of Safety based enchantment deck that happens to have a couple curses in it.
On a side note, Cutting blue would allow for the "curse" in package. and just do a Junk list. but I do want a couple of Tamyo, or Jace 3.0 as finishers.

Whenever you play a card with the same name as one of the exiled cards, you may put of those cards with that name into its owner's hand. Then if there are no cards exiled with Search the City, sacrifice it. If you do, take an extra turn after this one.
I like this thing. Reads to me, 5 mana, enchantment that allows for you to slowly draw 5 cards; then time warp.
Great with Snapcaster. Great with cantrips. Great in a mostly 1 color deck, worse in a deck with a lot of non basics.

Detain specifies the ability ends at the turn. Would be a pretty weak card.
