I don't see any comparison in that article to Gamergate.

"It's about ethics in Commander Rules Committee reform" is a direct shot at how Gamergate used "it's about ethics in video game journalism" as a cover story for unbridled hatred and misogyny. The fact that Gamergate, as a movement, was so utterly vile (I remind you that they felt it necessary to protect "ethics in video game journalism" through harassment, doxing, death threats, and literal terrorist threats) means it's deeply insensitive for the writer to compare detractors of the rules change to it (the connotation is that he feels said detractors simply want to harass people and are using the rules change as pretext) and negligent of SCG's editing staff to let such a thing through.

You honestly should do more research before you spout off information based on misguided or incorrect info.

It's pretty obvious that the banlist people for Commander just hate green. Stuff like Prime Time, Sylvan Primordial, and Rofellos are banned, while Deadeye Navigator, Yawgmoth's Will, and now Metalworker are unbanned. This is why I'm glad my group doesn't use their ridiculous list. Who honestly plays competitive edh in a tournament setting? The whole point of this format was to have fun.

The only cards that should be on the banlist are complete resets that affect life (i.e. Sway of the Stars, Worldfire) and the P9+library.

The List was to be used as an ultimate guideline. It was for so lets say I travel to another area and they did commander I would have a high chance of knowing what was allowed and banned. Yes they may still have house rules but I wouldn't have a chunk of my deck banned. The More abiding to the open list the more open the group to people from other areas gets. The more Off the list you go the more closed off the group you have.

  • posted a message on What Is Your Favorite Video Game? Why?
The responses are going to really gauge how much older some are or how much they played older games.

    My personal Favorite: R-type Final

Why: Replay like no other. Unlockable ships that give you a grand total of 101-103, some of the ships have major customized settings, and offer major challenges in their own right.
Close seconds really is no ONE game. Its the entire genre of Shmups. From commonly known ones of Gradius and Ikaruga to Import only of Mushihimesama Futari to the really hard to work arcade versions of Salamander II

I loved Shmups enough that I am currently trying to get a region free xbox360 to buy the entire Cave Collection and have them all playable.

I paid around 65 for mine at the time. Tried other Mice meant for macros and such but my hands are too big so I need a solid heavy mouse.

Little updated post I wanted to drop on some of you who still play.

Maybe Starting next weekend I am thinking of doing a group set up of doing rifts or bounty runs that will be on a rotation. I am also thinking I might ask the mods if I can Start a new thread so I can have OP post and can post updates and listing of who is who in game to here. The board on the community group doesn't allow long messages.

Who would be up for this? Mods feel free to chime in too.

Me and the misses have been trying what people think is a fixed loot table. Get someone to have a level 34 character to start a private torment 6 game. Join in as lvl 70. Have the person who was 34 switch to a lvl 70 and rift....rift...rift. IF what they say is correct the legends that drop can be gambled for at kadala. Every item you get from her EVEN if lvl 34 game will be lvl 70. If you want to do blessed shield majorly aim for getting the weapon first, shield 2nd now that you have one and just need a better one. Keep rifting till you get 500 shards and if no legendary drops then blind gamble on 1handeds or shields.

What people have been saying this, and is there a player limit on how many can be in the game? I assume the idea here is to get torment 6 level rewards at level 34 difficulty?

Edit: I just saw someone alleging that it works because some items have a minimum level (IE can't drop until you hit level X), and if the game is below that level it won't be in the loot table even from sources like kadala. So it's not farming a specific time, so much as narrowing your potential pool of items so that when you trigger a legendary you get much higher chances of it being the one you want.

All I can say is what me and her have been doing and we are doing it as 2 players as we prefer to keep it where we can talk on Skype and have control.

    1) I log on with my level 44(cause I don't have a 34 right now) and set it to torment 6.
    2) She signs on and joins my game with the lvl 70 she desires to get items for from kadala
    3) I leave game and switch to my lvl 70 and rejoin.
    4) We open rifts and keep playing saving any legendary we get as a note to what could drop.
    5) After we hit 500 shards(we tend to nuke our shards together) we look to see if any legendary dropped that we care for.
    6) IF yes to 5 we gamble on that slot full force.
    7) If not we decide if we nuke the shards blind on the slots we are looking to go blind on OR spend just a bit.
    Rinse and repeat.

The idea behind the loot table and doing this is your trying to see what can be on it. Example a few items me and her want can be dropped at 31. So we wait to see if we can get them to drop. IF they do its worth it for us to gamble. BUT take into account your table cause your lvl 70 can be bigger and the items just wont drop at the lower lvl monsters BUT will drop from kadala.

I also been solo bounty act 1s in pubs just to get a stash tab full of caches. Tonight I bust them open with the misses maybe on video to see what happens.

Been playing as a Crusader with my wife. I managed to get that shield (Jokenborg or something) that adds 6 additional hits to the Crusader's Captain America Shield Throw. Even though the shield is 20 levels below me, I'm still crushing large groups easily.

Im using a lvl 60 version. All I see is as long as you can get crit rolled onto it its busted. I been trying for a lvl 70 version to no luck.
