Gah, stupid Sejuani patch. I downloaded the Boompje client a few weeks ago and started playing... bought one of the champion bundles along with Udyr and Poppy. It's a fun game, though it does suck having to devote nearly an hour at once just for one game.

Doesn't really matter now, since the Mac client is broken :/ Anyone want to buy a smurf account? :p

I love Mentor, but every deck I try to put him in is too slow to beat any combo :/

Well, it actually does play, so I've had more success then I've had with the other methods. The trick is getting enough people to play it... there are Mac programs out there, but with nowhere near the playerbase of MWS.

Or not. I've only managed to play about 2 complete games. I managed to figure out a way to get the dice roll - you have to change it to a 19 sided die, then back to 20, and it will roll. However, it freezes almost every single game I play.

Hey, a way to do it that actually works... if I can figure it out, anyone can - I know next to nothing beyond the basic stuff about computers.

Edit: Well, mostly works. I can't get rolling dice to work for whatever reason, and it seems to crash a lot. Too tired, will look at it more tomorrow.

Meh. I thought the first movie (first DH, not Sorcerer's Stone) was far better then this. A lot of scenes felt rushed, there were a lot of small details that were changed or removed (most important IMO is Percy coming back and Fred dying). Also, Harry can hear Horcruxes... wait, what? At least they came up with a decent explanation, but still.

Overall disappointing end to an awesome series. 5 and 6 were definitely the worst movies, I thought they had come back with 7 but the finale went back. Not quite as far back as Half Blood Prince, but definitely a step back.

  • posted a message on Sleeptalking
So yeah... I just got back from a month touring with a drum and bugle corps. For those (all of you) who don't know what that is, basically I spent a month traveling around rehearsing and performing shows. And sleeping in gyms with 50+ other people.

And during this, I found out I sleeptalk. A lot. As in, pretty much every night. And loud enough to wake people up. While entertaining to hear what conversations people had with me, having a complete stranger's first impression of me being me waking them up in the middle of the night is pretty embarrassing. Not to mention the whole "people get pissed when i wake them up from the 4 hours of sleep we actually get" thing.

Have any of you had sleeptalking problems and successfully gotten rid of them? I think it might be some kind of family thing, as my sister is also at a camp right now and she said she has had some of the same experiences.

Just going to pop in here with my view...

I would not be comfortable with two men kissing or holding hands. I'll freely admit that. Does that mean I'm homophobic? Possibly. I have nothing against gay rights, but I believe that it's just natural for someone to be uncomfortable witnessing sexual acts between two people of their own sex. I mean, I have no problems with two lesbians making out in front of me (as long as they're hot ;)) but two men does make me uncomfortable.

I feel like that might be part of what the OP was talking about. Now, if all the idiots could just accept that just because they're uncomfortable with something doesn't mean it shouldn't be allowed, the world would get a lot simpler.

I wish MTGO ran on Mac. That would make it more of a "must" for me.

I also have the lag problem. I can start a game, but then when I try to play it falls apart. Typing and conversation works, drawing, shuffling... but doing anything involving the actual field such as playing cards or rolling a dice causes large white squares to appear and everything to get messed up.

I'm borrowing a copy of this game in Japanese for spring break, because I had the sudden urge to play Pokemon (don't own a DS). Wow it is confusing playing in japanese... And I'm in the middle of my second year studying it in high school :p

Be glad you have snow. Here in Seattle we have almost no snow but far more rain then is necessary. Which is annoying for a person, like me, who just doesn't enjoy doing anything in the rain.

Wish I lived somewhere warm :/

Seriously, join some sort of activity.

    My pick? Drum line.

Assuming your school has a marching band at first. But seriously, try it out.

I was like you in someways last year - I'm a sophomore this year. I didn't have a whole lot of friends, never had a girlfriend, was just trying to get through HS and go somewhere people didn't know me as the weird kid who plays Magic. Then, at the beginning of this year, I joined drum line - never having marched before. This year has been so much better. Drum line is a really tight group, and it's fun. You say you have no experience with drums? Does. Not. Matter.

Anyways, if I continue I'll go into a rant about how marching band isn't as bad as most people consider it. The point is, just join some sort of team or group. You get to know the people, become friends with them, have more confidence to make other friends. Hell, within a month of starting this year I was dating a girl - that only lasted about two weeks, but that's a different story.

Also, take pride in being asian. I personally am not asian, but my group of friends has an inside joke about how I'm the group asian, because I take Japanese. And turn your race into a good thing. Obviously it may be different at your school, but at mine Asians are cool :p
