And then you play someone from Wizards R&D who says you're condescending for reading the full text of your cards every time you play them. Because FNMs are super serious guys.
If a store opens a pack they paid $2.25, sell one uncommon for a $1, and the rest for more than $1.25, they make bank.
If buy a pack for $4+tax, open the uncommon, and have to throw away the rest because it has $0.001 trade in value and no one wishes to trade for the cards.
It's not always about the player buying packs, but stores to buy product and re-sell them to people to buy. In essence, the product is still sold to player, but many players now share the cost of the product.
Literally the only exciting thing int he whole set for me. And I love Pirates, and Dinosaurs! But I just hate how they're being shown to us here.
Maybe its cause these pirates aint pirating, and these dinosaurs are working together with humanoids instead of trying to each other other, and the feathers everywhere, like Carnival, geez.
That Jace PW card is highly playable in EDH. Especially in Phenax mill.
Aside from a few random wizards, these aren't exactly breaking or warping the format to force people to play a particular style. As such, in my uneducsted opinion, a short print run is best as the ev in long term is not there. Atraxa forced you to build every kind of deck you could with her, and 3/4 versions I saw played were already popular archtypes. highly wanted card, low print run, no resupply, price spike.
And? White should not get wraths. Simple as that. God is not a white creature. God's wrath is not a white thing that white should do. It is intrinsically Black/Red. Chaotic destruction of all things. The color pie has had effects grandfathered into colors that it doesn't fit because of Alpha. GARBAGE.
On top of all that, Larry Nevin was a freakin Necromancer, Lich bad-ass. Why would some rando white aligned dudes be studying him?
If you match the color of the Magus to the effect it is most attributed to, that is fine as seen in Candelabra and Arena. But tell me exactly how Library of Alexandria is a green thing.
This is definitely going to be one of those cards that speculators speculate on.
Should we start a for-fun pool for it's average price a week after release?

Good rock for tribal. End thread.

You put the object on the stack, announce targets, figure out the costs, pay the costs, then allow opponent to respond.
In that respect, how would you know a spell is uncounterable when they must announce the creature type first.
