If black is the goal what about warped physique? could be removal or a pump. Also what about some number of swan song? I could be wrong but having an unconditional 1 U counter seems like it could be easy to leave up and ultimately beneficial?
I saw a recent dakkon blackblade land deck that got me wondering if there were other multicolored land based generals... Ik azure and the other monogreen general. And for those who know is the kind of strategy fun? Id love 5a color but is child good enough to pull it off?

My search for a commander with reanimation abilities attached and frankly mimeo doesn't cut it for me. This card fits exactly what im looking for. Which is a general in good colors that can reanimate to make up for the lack of spells to do so.
i agree completely. if they made everything cool legendary it wouldnt be fun. just makes me happy that my friends are more interesting in playing for fun than competition
I have a ruling question... can you only reanimate creatures that are black and/or blue with him as the commander? i noticed it says play any creature but it doesnt seem to specify the way it reanimates like geths ability does.

I know there are at least a few of you out there that like me was sad to see this beast wasnt legendary... my play group typically allows none legendary creatures as your commander if you can defend why and with a few specific rules. so with that said i am brainstorming ideas for this... atm i feel that a UB reanimator style could be fun. any ideas out there?
The lich only allows you to CAST the creature from the GY, not cast it without playing it's cmc... It's stil a fantastic card and will surely become some broken piece that will be heavily discussed in the 'Silly five drops thread' that no undoubtedly will be arriving in the near future.

why do you assume i can't read? if it was 1 colorless to play anything from the graveyard it would be broken... I love the art, he feels legendary, and his ability seems to be on a level of fun that makes me want him as a general. not cause i cant read what his text does....
good to know i am not the only one out there lol. are there any examples of midrange builds on the site? ive searched constantly lol. think in the meantime im gonna dig through that stax version of sharuum for some ideas
