From what I gather, detonator is working on an empty shell, a tabletop in the precise sense of the word. Everything that is game specific can be written in java.

As an dded piece of info (I didnot see anything about this in another thread): Detonator is working on a follow up of mws, called virtualplaytable, so who knows what might come out of it.

From what I gather, someone is working on an mws skin for opt, so the user interface will be identical. We'll see where it goes fromt here.

I think the biggest reason for this inertia is just the fact that people don't like change. Another reason may be seccodes. Lots of people play more or less competitive and prefer mws, since mws has deck seccodes, wich identify the deck you are playing.
Iirc Lackey doesnot support seccodes, so you cannot know if your opponent is playing the same deck al through the matches you play in a tournament, and when you already are using one play application, you usually are not willing to use another one to do the same thing.

so what you basically are saying that you got $300 left that you can spend freely. I assume your wife has an income, so she has some free spendable money too. What is the problem then to spend $50 every month? It doesnot make your life harder, you don't need to cut necessary spendings, so the only thing that I can think of is that your wife doesnot like you playing magic. But whatever the reason is for hiding your hobby expenses, it is just bad to lie in a relationship on any subject. Believe me, she is gonna find out and that is gonna be a lot worse than oyu telling her that you got a hobby that costs money. She might try to fight it, but she will eventually give in, and let you have your hobby. It might be a bit of giving and taking but this is a lot better than than getting real big relationship problems over $50 of free spendable income.

oh, come on, can't you just show your bills to your wife? I mean, if you are hiding things like that for your family imho there is something completely wrong and your hobby will only bring you problems. I mean, $50 is not that big an amount of money to spend monthly on a hobby.
You might want to consider to make an agreement with your wife on wich you both have a budget for any hobyy/passtime you have.
Again, hiding financial things within a relationship is a sure fire way of getting into trouble.

The idea is awesome, but to me it seems like a flight duration that also could be acomplished by standard glider, given the right wind circumstances. It is a pity I didnot see antyhing about that kind of data. I do think the flight was legit (after all it was observed by impartial officials), but still, extra info like a comparable flight by a glider would be a good thing.
The thing that dissapointed me most though was the fact that he had to be towed to be able to take off. Understandable, but still dissapointing.

There are enough other options for free online play. The first one is ofcourse apprentice (from what I hear there is a sourceforge page with an app 2 project there, but I don't know it's exact location).
    other options are:
    scrollrack
    onlineplaytable
    lackeyccg

    octgn already had been named.

You can also take a look at www.slightlymagic.net. There is a lot of info on that site.

Don't call out fake that quick. For what it seems he has been on constant observation for 2 weeks and didnot eat or drink. I am sceptical myself, and I would like to see him under observation by a team that has a more international reputation, to prevent any kind of shenanigans.
