I'm assuming you exiled the rector to get the treachery. When you target the creature, the makeshift mannequin counter will force them to sacrifice it so you'll get nothing.
Question 1: It only changes the targets. In the above example, the spellskite will get vapor snagged, then whatever spell or ability tried to give him hexproof wil get countered, because it no longer has a target
Question 2: The number of targets doesn't change. e.g. If you opponent casts lightning bolt, and you change the target to Spellskite, then put the ability on the stack again targeting the lightning bolt, he'll still only get the wild defiance bonus once, and you'll probably lose some unnecessary life.
You really can't make that statement as of yet. We haven't seen a lot of praetors yet.
And you probably overestimate Yawgmoth. He shoved most of the responsibilities of planning the invasion off onto functionaries.
Plus, Yawgmoth's influence wasn't limited to Phyrexia. He played a strong hand in the Brothers' War, created Rath despite not being a planeswalker, and I'm uncertain of timelines here, but theoretically played some hand in taking over Eslpeth's home plane, and possibly others.
His eventual goal was Compleat = Planeswalker, but the only Planeswalker he ever got to study (early in his Godhead) was allowed to die by Rebec.
I have an adendum to this question. Maintain the previous situation, but say you stack Gilded Light on top of Last Stand. It's two targeted abilities now have invalid targets, but it still has three other effects. Is the spell countered since none of its targets are legal, or do the other three effects still happen?
To have an example on the board, I'll say Eternity Vessel (it was the first artifact of which I thought) Clone will be a six to cast 6/6 with all of the Vessel's abilities. What happens to the effect that made the artifact a creature after all copiable values are locked in are irrelevant.
Yes, the creature is now in your control by virtue of the Restoration Angel, not the Vedalken Shackles. You do still have the option of keeping them tapped, but they are no longer affecting the creature in question.
I'm thinking werewolves will end up shedding one form, and polarizing into (possibly collared) humans, and wild, savage terrors. It would be pretty lame of Wizards to say "Werewolves, Vampires, and Zombies, Oh My! J/K, no Werewolves."
That said, I'm happy that at least for the time being it appears that the "good guys" catch a break. I was getting pretty fed up with every set ending in a planar catastrophe, that then vanished for no apparent reason in the next block.
I don't want to see all these cliffhangers connected, but even some continuity or partial resolution of Eldrazi, Phyrexia, or Bolaswinsforever would be nice.
here, do I see a portal in the last frame? And if so, to where does it lead? It can't be to old Phyrexia. Maybe they're already making invasion plans for elsewhere?
Sorry, link didn't go to the final page of the comic. The 'portal' is in the final frame on the last page.
One of those rare gems out there. But I have faith with Jeremy Jarvis, I hope along the way he breaks more Magic Art stereotypes... like maybe, heavily armored Male angels.
I would very much like to see this. Here here for Jeremy Jarvis. That said i am looking forward to some spoilers for these arts.
EDIT: I read the rector wrong. Sorry, rtfc.

Thanks.
:Edit: I think.
