This isn't really a budget question, because I'll spend the money, I was just wondering what was the cheapest out of the Tier 1 standard decks right now. I've been away from standard for a while, and haven't been following them too closely. Probably a devotion deck because of the mana? But I'm not too sure. Thanks!

Huh, your second point is one that I haven't thought of...if I were to get a console (PS4) I was really looking forward to getting Infamous and Killzone...thanks for the feedback

I've had my 360 since it came out a bunch of years ago and with the release of the new systems, I was think about upgrading. I'm not debating XB1 or PS4, but console vs. PC. I was thinking PS4, but the Steam sale is making me really want to lean toward a good PC...can anyone give me some pros/cons to each (graphically, price, convenience, etc)

I think your decision should be between two or three color instead of one or two. Personally, Zombie tribal needs blue for access to things like Rooftop Storm and Lich Lord of Unx. I would go Grimgrin and build a token/sac sub theme. honestly though, go with whatever you think will work the best/what's most easily accessible to you. I would just strongly reccommend going UB Tongue

I think as a general answer to the OP, I would say that tutors DEFINE the commander/ Elder dragon format. 100 cards, about 40 lands. 60 singleton cards. The likelyhood that you're going to draw your wincon/ a card that you need for any given circumstance is pretty low. Tutoring is essesntial to a coherent deck. I agree that tutoring, however, has just become a way to abuse combos, but I still use plenty of tutors in my decks to tutor up a conterspell after an annoying creautre has been bounced or a wrath for a rediculous board state. Just my 2 cents.

Not to be a dick and I appreciate your enthusiasm posting on this site, but if you're looking for a deck to play with a play style your not familiar with, the best possible thing to do is build the deck and play it. There's no other way to get familiar with it.

Asking people online what you should play, in my opinion, is kind of wack, considering they all have their own opinions and play styles and will push whatever non-sense they want on you.

You'll only get better at the game and format if your actively building and playing, not theory crafting.

I agree that asking people for decks is a foolish move, I just wanted to see if people had any experience with this sort of deck and if there were any suggestions that I could get of good commanders/cards to fit the bill is all.

I didn't realize this post would get such heated debates going....:o

I guess to clarify what I meant even more with the OP is that my definition of interactive is more world type effects. Obviously removal is interacting, but I don't want a deck that just builds up and builds up with ramp and tutor to combo off or win with a swing or two (only focusing on me and what I'm doing, occasionally killing a creature). I would rather play something that causes all creatues to gain/lose something or play something that discourages all players from doing drawing, or swinging, or something larger scale like that. I just didn't know a good strategy for playing a lot of world effects or it there even is a specific kind of strategy for that.

I suppose I was thinking the best deck for a lot of world effects (enchantments, sorceries that mess with everyone) and things of that nature. I want to run stuff like Abyssal Persecutor with Platinum Angel and sit back and watch chaos happen while I draw cards and occasional intervene with something to prevent damage or force someone to be attack, etc. I was thinking maybe 5 color for all options, but like I said before, I'm unfortunatley not too knowledgable in this type of play (most decks i've made have either been straight control or just drop big creatures)

Sorry for posting so many threads recently, but I'm trying to come up with a deck and I'm still not exactly sure on what it's going to be yet.

I'm looking for something with a defined strategy and theme, and something really interactive with the board. I want to be able to just chill out for most of the game and win at the very end out of no where. I was thinking maybe stax/punisher, maybe pillow fort-esque, but I haven't played a lot of different styles of decks so I don't know what's all out there. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

If I have Propaganda (or any other card like it) out and force an opponent to attack me, are they forced to pay 2 for each creature, effectively making them to tap out?
