I love the mill at the height of rumour season. It never ceases to amaze me how all these posters show up out of nowhere to proclaim all cards as bad and how they can be o-ringed, path'd, etc...
Keep it up guys, real thought provoking conversation here. Almost existentialist. "There is only one certainty in life; it is that everything will eventually die to removal."

I for one notice the power level in Magic increase. I see my EDH decks lose 3-4 cards everytime a new set comes out.
...And both of these cards make the cut.

It isn't bad considering it will do considerably well against 3 out of the 5 colors. If they reprint White Knight, to go along with Knight E./S. Titan Control...well theres going to be quite a bit of rock paper scissor decking going on. At the very least interesting sideboards. (Besides, I'm talking post-Alara)

Devout Lightcaster/White Knight + Knight E. with Sun Titan control would be very difficult to deal with, with Mono-B Control thats been bantying about.

So does celstial purge, path to exile, oblivion ring, day of judgement, terminate, mind control, maelstrom pulse....I don't see your point, he is just as killable as every other titan excluding the green titan =P

I was thinking post-Alara, as the amount of removal will be severely lessened (I doubt Scars will bring with it a ton of removal.., could be wrong though). Like I said also, U/x and White will be the only ones giving this guy trouble, and if you are going to rely on him as a win-con...you're going to need more especially with the craziness Blue and White has been getting. 6 Mana isn't exactly cheap for 2 2/2 creatures...Though Black is quite good at recurring from the grave.

The only problem with this guy is against White (And U/x control-- but again, all cards have a problem with U control :p)....Devout Lightcaster shuts him down easily.

You can bet if this gets popular, Spreading Seas will be splashed and main decked in all decks.

Wouldn't Day of Judgment still kill him because it doesn't target him?

I wonder if Blazing Torch is going to see some play with the increased viability of Zombies (Due to this card). Luckily Knight Exemplar kicks this guys ass :p

How about we wait until th rest of M11 is spoiled before making any decklist plans. As a critique I have to say I think it's pretty bad. This deck is going to at the very least be white and green (for Knight of Reliquary). Alara isn't going to cycle out for a long time so there's no point in making up post-alara decklists.

Eh, I wouldn't say 3 months is a "long time". Looking back I think the Marshal's should be SB material instead of MB due to the mana-curve on both Titan & Emeria. I would probably add 2x DoJ and 1 more Time of Heroes to MB. I really don't see Student of Warfare, WoO, or Sun Titan getting eclipsed by the rest of M11 or Scars (Though I could be wrong), so thats going to be a staple. The only thing that could feasibly change is if Elspeth comes in Scars (allowing you to forgo the evasion creatures for an overall better creature), or a better functional Knight flyer is printed (very much possible).

There is a ton of play when it comes to Instants & Sorceries, though I believe if you are going to run Sun Titan it would be wise to use 3CMC or less permanents, with some form of control-ish. Would you agree? There's a lot of give and take on what to include here, same with the sideboard (I think the Firewalker is a given). Moreover, I asked for a critique on a post-alara knight deck. Your other points are noted, but irrelevant given this circumstance. I would like some constructive criticism on a starting point for the deck. I'm not interested in chucking down some money on cards that can only be played for a very short time (and yes, 3 months is short), as I am sure a lot of others are also.

It's also incredibly stupid to say this deck (that is post-alara) is bad because it doesn't include alara cards....:-/ Logic fail. Anyways, if you could perhaps include some constructive criticism I'm all ears.

I could see this in bant colors with the already discussed KoTR and Rafiq, plus maybe some hard counters such as negate and a little bit of tomem armor for the knight lord

The problem though is that Alara will only be available in standard for another 2 months....so, Alara Knights will see very limited action. I'm interested to see what kind of Knight decks will pop up after Alara rotates.

How about this for a post Alara deck (Hopefully Scars will come with some nice Knights, and White Knight gets reprinted):

    Sideboard:

    Critiques? (Hopefully Pithing comes back)
