Would you be down to make a sig with a combination of tezzeret, agent of bolas, Phyrexian metamorph, sword of war and peace, sword of feast and famine, and vault skirge. I really like what you did with the soul sister's one. If you'd put TezzBlade on it that'd be awesome. I'll link it to you guys all day lol

I have been aggressively testing a forgemaster build. The problem is RDW. It is difficult to run enough answers to slow down RDW enough to let you forgemaster out while maintaining a very focused deck in the same vein as Juza. I would not recommend the style of build unless you have a very unique or different approach.

I have a grixis forgemaster deck that runs pretty decent against aggro. Pyroclasm is a godsend in the matchup. I have 1 pyroclasm and 1 slagstorm MB and another one of each SB just for the aggro match. I really love the Ratchet bomb main. It has bailed me out of trouble quite a few times. It is very good against anything that generates tokens (Usually takes out my chalice but its worth it to take 2 5/5 tokens after they d. summons). It can be grabbed with tezz which i think is the best part. If you are playing against aggro they are usually dropping a bunch of 1 and 2 drops so the bomb goes off pretty quick. Honestly the aggro matchup isnt too bad, Its the control builds that slow forgemaster. If you can turn 3 Tezz you have the game about 70% of the time. If you can follow that with turn 4 forgemaster that win % goes up and if you untap with forgemaster you should win either by forgemaster into blightsteel at the end of their turn or myr battlesphere and tezz ultimate.

Also the deck list above this is awesome i really like it.

That note right there almost tempts me to run Marrow Shards on the sideboard: if the rise of aggro will be as hard as people are claiming, I'm willing to pay 2 life to shut down Battle Cry's shenanigans: in Hawkward specifically, lists that run Hero of Bladehold with no Eldrazi Monument support are easily disrupted by this. Sure, you don't take care of the Hero this turn, and you might not prevent her from hitting next turn, but life DOES matter against aggro 8 times out of 10, don't it? Smile

I really think against most aggro decks a well placed BSZ will pretty much reward a scoop. SB consume the meek against almost any aggro deck in the current meta (vamps, elves, boros[w/o sfm this probably wont be viable long])and you're in business. Back to BSZ, not only can you put a huge dent in there board but even the survivors will be much more manageable. Proliferating them is awesome...no matter what you use to do it. UB has alot of weapons against aggro but not quite what white has. What we miss from DoJ we gain 2 fold with early discard and spot removal.

As far as the life total goes...

I've never really had too much problem stabalizing with a wurmcoil or batterskull (tried batterskull and its too slow...amazing card just not so much for me). One good wipe and i generally have them dead to the draw. For instance I had a friend build kothless rebirth and after 3 turns of getting slammed down to 5 i was able to wipe the board and drop tumblemagnet buying me a few turns. once tezz got going everything changed i began grabbing artifacts (first dig metamorph, 2nd another tumble magnet, then wurmcoil). Once the 3rd tumble magnet hit it was all but over. i drop wurmcoil and tezz ultimate 2 turns in a row. Did i mention tezz is beast? thought that needed to be in there.

    2) Torpor Orb- Great against Splinter Twin less so against Valakut but buys you time since Titan doesn't trigger till it attacks. However is it a MB card? A list with it MB has made it to top 8 not to long ago but really needs Tezzeret to make it pay off in case you run into agro decks.

The main goal of the torpor orb was to shut down cawblade. Its a strong SB card but 1 or 2 could really be beneficial MB. he also ran phyrexian revoker and etched champion to pretty much wreak as much havoc against it as possible. As far as Spellskite goes, it is at least 2 or 3 mainboard with the rest in side. With cawblade gone the next month or so will be a very volatile format where alot of new and old decks will be winning. I see alot of red decks popping up with the printing of shrine of burning rage and furnace scamp. I think protecting your PW's and kill is quite worth 2 life. Another 4 of in almost any deck, IMO, is phyrexian metamorph for the simpe fact that any color can run it and I have never drawn it and been disappointed. Just my ideas on some cards lol.

I've been trying to get around the cawblade barrier for awhile. I think the original was awesome put post rotation it falls apart. I've been thinking about an esper color version with tezz and vault skurge. Probably just using the white for mainly sideboard but vault skurge is a huge turn 1. Turn 2 chalice, turn 3 tezz making vault skurge a 5/5. Tezz could be used to dig for the sword you need or just grab a creature. Obviously it would require an artifact base but with stoic rebutal we should be fine.
Using an artifact build you could also run vedalken certarch's which is esentially a bottomless tumble magnet. I'll try to put up a list tomorrow.

I have to appologize if this shouldnt be posted here. Its somewhere between u/b and u/w. I also need to appologize for any spelling errors...I'm sure they're there lol

I forgot to put this in the first but has anyone tried stifle to combat pretty much any hate? I personally this stifle is one of the coolest cards ever and maybe have a bias to put it in the deck but for 1 mana I could be a catch-all for whatever you need it for(no cryt, relic, and my favorite I activate jace's final...no you don't. Then I laugh)

So I don't want to waste time with more random questions but I'm quite new to this decki'd like to know how to play and side against the main tier 1 decks. I see a lot of input on enchantress an painted stone but the meta in ohio seems more to be goblins/fish/zoo with a few random combo decks. I run the build with ghast and ichorid for a more stable board advantage but I'm not sure how to handle some of the match-ups. I know fish will be hard but playing around fow and daze shouldn't be too bad. However a unanswered lackey could end the game quick. Goblins and zoo seem to be the biggest problem I see as I prepare for origins next month and i'd like to have as much knowledge on not only my deck but my opponents as well.

Just curious but can Gideon get path'd when he becomes a creature? It says he's still a planeswaker but also a human soldier creature
