I'm not a fan of uber large merfolk. Or any of the main races like zombies/vampires/humans/elves/goblins. She's almost Emmara Tandris levels of abhorrence. Not the abilities; the base power/toughness is tough to grasp.
That's the type of card advantage monowhite has been screaming for in EDH. I hope they tag more dies/leave play abilities like these in the future. Very awesome.
Scavenger Grounds is one of the best colorless lands printed in recent history. Though if you've graveyard packages it's difficult to include in. It's perfect for linear strategies that don't wanna miss a beat.
There're more options than just these lands.
I normally don't go over 9-10 colorless lands in a mono deck, much less for 3C and above.
Card advantage a decade ago would have meant your handsize. Card advantage these days include the board state.
TBF to Wizards, they've been augmenting White with very good board states. If anyone noticed already more and more white creatures have a resiliency to them, whether it's through protection/indestructibility or dies/leave triggers.
I think Wizards are identifying that as White's card advantage: resiliency.
In any case, I do feel they need to support White with MORE retribution effects. You Cyclonic Rift? Maybe I can cast a new white spell that returned my board state (Like a Faith's Reward) or a card similar to Fresh Meat. Teferi's Protection was the right step but we need more options.
Imagine your creatures have Murder Investigation tagged on them with an instant spell. We could amp the effect up with angel tokens.
More mono-white instants less sorceries, more flash tagged on mono-white creatures.
The values are almost all at the commons and uncommons. Shame that Wizards are indirectly forcing Pauper/budget players to go the pauper/budget route: Buying online instead of supporting LGSs.
In high-powered, high-tutor environments, it's not recommended though.
Was she a brute in the story?
More awesome red spells for my Pyromancer's Goggles please!
Inter-guild mechanics tend to play well together.
Temple is overrated, much like Reliquary Tower.

It's been that way for years. And we prefer our games this way.

Real shame indeed.
Absolute bomb.
Resurrection is common... so...
Highly sought after indeed...
