I have UW control that I like, and normally top 8 with @ FNM, But I always have 1-2 side projects I am working on, and I will enter with them on my monday night tournaments, and gauge how well they do, and what their weakness' are, and from thatpoint, determineif it is something that I can hope to win with in a 40-60 man tournament (What my FNM's consist of most of the times)
Right now, I am working on a RGU deck that has a lot of cards that have synergy with each other, and is based on mana/card excel, with a 1 turn beatdown for 50+ on turn 5-6, or a few small hits in the early turns to win. I still have a lot of tweaking to go, but it can top 8 @ an FNM I'm sure.
On that note, as much as I love my RGU, I am under noillusion that I will top @ a PTQ or a nats with it... That's what UW control is for
Keep in mind, most stores limit how many promo's you can get. I know my shop only hands out 1 buy-a-box promo, even when I pick up a case. I'm not sure if all stores are like that, as I imagine some smaller shops could make big profit offering 4 boxes with 4 birds.
I had an Ajani and 2x Jace in hand, my opponent played a jace 1.0 and drew a card....then I killed it with one of my Jaces.
I literally have no idea what I was thinking.
I don't see why that is a bad play. I would make that exact play, and I play Super friends. Moving your ajani to 1 is much worse thn using up an EXTRA jace!
With that said, I Fate-sealed a jund deck using jace, had spreading seas on both of his red sources late game, and put blightning on the bottom of his deck.... twice in a row! A winnar is me!
This was a serious debate last night, figure I'd try here until the official ruling comes down. I have an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn in play, you cast Oblivion Ring , Since O ring doesn't target it as it's coming into play, and is only having the player remove something when it comes into play (at which point it is no longer an enchantment spell, it is simply an enchantment) Can O ring Take Emrakul out? Can the same thing happen for a Jace bouncing it back to hand?
