Ooh... Jace's -1 works nicely for that purpose... though I don't know that you want to necessarily use that ability on your own creatures all that often... but re-casting it to get a total of 5 golems on the board isn't bad either!
T3 - Cast Tezz
T4 - Cast Golem, turn a token into a 5/5.
T5 - Cast Jace, bounce golem, turn a token into a 5/5
T6 - Cast golem, bounce with Jace, turn a token into a 5/5
Nice.

Mar 24, 2011chadmart posted a message on Tezzerator 2.0Can I ask what the Precursor Golems really do in this deck? Is it just so you get a lot of guys on the board and they have to try and deal with it? It would be cool if you could 3 for 1 with Tezz's -1, but that doesn't work... I like the deck and am thinking about putting it together.Posted in: NeoItems Blog

I also completed my playset of Wall of Omens and am up to 3 Oust.
I got at least one of each uncommon, and between 2 and 4 of each common. I was really, really hoping for Kargan Dragonlord but alas it was not to be. I also got a bunch of stuff that I already had... particularly Mortician Beetle - 2 of them to make 3 total, Near Death Experience for a total of 3, Dormant Gomazoa - 2 total, and Keening Stone - 3 total. Anyway, it really sucks when you open pack after pack and you keep seeing the same things!
Luckily for many of these cards (Lightning Bolt, Llanowar Elves, etc...) I am lucky to have most of my cards from Revised through roughly Mirrodin, so I have many of those.
I appreciate the suggestions, keep them coming!
Oh, and I'm still buying Eldrazi packs, so I should have plenty of the commons/uncommons fairly quickly - I'm not going to look for singles from the set in other words, unless its to flesh out a play set once I decide to stop buying packs.
Thanks!
Considering the cards I already own, to get up to that deck would cost me nearly $100! Ok, take out the Scalding Tarns and that drops it to about $50... but that's still too much.
The pool of cards I have to draw from does consist solely of my sealed pool, 2 draft pools, and 4 boosters of RoE, maybe 10 boosters of Worldwake, maybe 10 boosters of Zendikar, and something like 4-6 boosters of M10. I also have very few cards from my "old" days ranging from Revised to current that are still legal. I realize that I will never build a cohesive, stable deck using only what I pull from packs, and I am willing to spend a few dollars here or there... but not that much, and certainly not on one deck.
I have a friend that "net-decked" a $200 deck and he does pretty well at FNM with it... but I would get SO bored playing the same deck over and over again, and truth be told, I don't have the time or resources to "buy" a deck every time I decide to change it up, and I don't have the time or resources to "collect" enough to build whatever deck I want whenever I want it. So, I start with an idea, tweak it using what I've got, maybe pick up a specific card or 2 from time to time, and then start over to try a different deck.
Now... the Eldrazi... I know that they are fat, and I know that they are too unreliable in standard... but that one time that you are able to drop him on the table and smash through for 12 will be amazing! I see your point about Polymorph being too random as well, but in this deck it doesn't really matter which creature you pull with it, you will get something useful. And again, that one time it pulls an Eldrazi will be sweet, sweet victory.
Splinter Twin is a great uniter in this deck. As I said, if I drop Splinter Twin on a Venerated Teacher, then I'm leveling up all of my levelers by 2 levels every turn. Additionally, if I drop it onto Emrakul's Hatcher then I'm throwing 3 Eldrazi Spawn onto the battlefield every turn which brings out the Eldrazi that much faster.
I do thank you for some ideas, and especially that I need to be on the lookout for Kragan Dragonlord... that said I would also love to get hold of a Lighthouse Chronologist.

I decided to take out the black because all I had when I paired it down was a couple of levelers and a 1 or 2 sorceries that made Eldrazi Spawn tokens. Any thoughts you may have would be great! I don't particularly want to "buy" singles in order to make a deck, so this deck was made from what I have. You can see my "Legal in Standard" collection here:

I don't have a sideboard as of yet, so if you wouldn't mind suggesting sideboard cards I would appreciate it. Again, I would prefer to stay with cards I own, but if something really "made" the deck, then I may be talked into buying singles!
Thanks in advance!
