Also quick question how do you feel about the punishing fires package is it too redundant and should it be replaced with simply lightning bolts and man lands?
weltkrieg: vinelasher kudzu seems like a pretty good replacement for plated geopede. I will probably try him/her/genderless vine monster out over geopede for now on.
Geopede was originally used to gum up the ground early game because most of the removal before the land to damage conversion engine got online could not take care of 3+ toughness 1-2 mana guys (natal, kird ape, goyf ).
Navy Joe: I was originally thinking of the jund variant running chimes, dark confidant, and smother. The list looked like
The main concept behind the deck it to use repeatable burn spell in the form of Seismic Assault or Burning Vengeance/Flame jab in combination with life from the loam+lands.
Card Choices: Creatures : Countryside Crusher, Plated Geopede,Tarmogoyf these guys can hold the ground early game and can take advantage of life from the loam/mulch . In the late game if you do not draw a burning vengeance nor a seismic assault. I have also tried Chandra's spitfire in the main to take advantage of assault and vengeance but in early testing it did seemed much worse than either plated or crusher.
Enchantments: The two enchantments are the core of repeatable burn damage.
Spells:Life from the loam and mulch help to make sure you have a steady supply of lands. On average mulch will net you around two lands while Life should net your 3.
Flame jab is Burning vengeance's partner in crime. Punishing fire ( this may not be nessassary) gives you a back up repeatable burn spell for the late game. Worm harvest gives you a late game way of making some tokens and re-triggering burning vengeance.
Here is a quick modern version of allies. The main problem with smaller tribes like allies is that the only real things that modern brings to the deck is acceleration in the form of aether vial, and an improved manabase that better supports three color allies.
How ever one thing to note is that replacing the green with blue and adjusting the mana base of course cards like Jwari Shapeshifter and Phantasmal Image could be added in. black also gives us interesting options like Dark confidant and bojuka birgade.
Which leads me to my second version a slightly more potentially explosive version it runs a few less allies and is RBW(dark allies) allies. the main problems of this deck vs naya allies is that it does not have the recovery engines of lead the stampede or bloodbraid elf. but runs more one and two drops to take greater advantage of vial.
Here is a more G/B Glissa, the Traitor based agro route. It runs Adaptive Automaton over Death Baron for minor Glissa syngeries and death Barron is only really giving death touch.
One other unusual inclusion is the non-zombie creature known as dark confidant he was included for his drawing power.

Other considerations: Some things which I have concidered for the deck is adding a third color being either blue for gifts of the ungiven, remand, and Swans of Bryn Argoll while reducing the number of punishing fires, life from the loam, and flame jabs needed. Or adding black for raven's chime and dark confidant.
