In general, WW and Boros Weenie is a trade off. Boros causes you to play with a shakier mana base which you will probably have to take out Mutas but in return gives you better match ups against Aggro and Midrange due to Phalanx leader and Anax with the best heroic enabler in Coordinated Assault by sacrificing your Control match up which really requires those Mutas. After board you get the better option of Boros Charm over Rootborn but again you still lose the Mutas.
I posted this in R/G aggro but it's basically a monoG deck. People didn't really like it because it didn't feel very R/G aggro but midrangey though its because the creature base nor lands are really that high aggro at the moment.
You really need a balance of cards that can abuse the Devotion and cards that can play fine without it. The big problem with Nylea is that she's a win more card. If you can use her active to large effect you already have enough power on the board and if you don't she's not a creature. If she was 3 or her passive was more useful she would be playable.
The card that I'm testing in the deck is Stormbreath Dragon with some land changes which will probably make the cut as it's the only red creature worth playing that isn't more geared towards RDW.
The deck does well against most decks but struggles against RDW.
No dorks or Domri Rade? This looks very top heavy as well.
Like I said it's a trade off and one that was used primarily in worlds and tournaments leading up to it. You can't protect an early Rade and Rade is more often used for his CA but when your already playing a superior high end card selection it's not needed. Also, Rade requires me to cut Advent of the Wurm which is too good of a threat to pass.
I've had great success with this because it tries to mirror the type of Naya midrange that was strong prior to rotation which traded away early explosive power for mid and lategame. The fact that the land base has gotten worse I feel that this is the correct way for the midrange deck to go. It does extremely well against aggro and and quite well against control but sacrifices the match up to be a 50/50 against a midrange that utilizes mana dorks and has a glaring weakness to Kalonian Hydra. Overall, I found this to be a well positioned trade off.
So I built the deck more like midrange goodstuff Jund deck. The deck already has good match ups in most areas. The sideboard was made for control as Assemble, Elspeth, and Stormbreath just aren't enough for control. The pool of Boros cards weren't very deep for a midrange deck against control so I decided to utilize a transformation sideboard at the cost of only slightly lowering other matchups to vastly improve this one. It can still work well as a sideboard guessing game in other match ups.
Anything and everything. Demographics, how the local playerbase breaks down (e.g. what formats people will play), what local players are looking for in an LGS, whether or not there are people currently going to stores further away who'd go to yours instead, and probably a whole lot of other stuff (I'm just coming up with this off the top of my head).
And as far as Standard/Modern staples go, valuation could actually be your friend if you can get behind some the Modern price jumps that have been happening lately, just because it'd make your margins look larger.
Research entails data. Yes, I can give generalizations on the demos but that's not what a financial institution wants to see.
It's fine if the asset jumps in price the issue, if it falls big then it's terrible for me because he then still has the equity whereas my % of net diminishes.
I'm a 4th year BA - Marketing student but my learning focus has been so heavily geared towards corporations than entrepreneurship. I pretty much confirmed today what I already suspected, that a) the business entity would have to purchase the cards at LCM (lower of cost or market) and be added towards his owner's equity b) a smaller percentage of the cards can be used as collateral when priced by a professional.
The problem with a) that I still have isn't the Power, Legacy or EDH payables but the T2 and Modern ones that can really fluctuate.
New Question: Besides the distance between competition and local schools, what else can there be for market research with a speciality store like a card shop?
Note: Two of my local shops were worthless at helping me with this, their reply - We we're friends with someone at the bank and were able to bypass the business plan for the loan.

Makes me miss Resto and Disciple of Bolas.
The deck only really shows the power of Lifebane and Sin.
