I feel like a pile of crap reading this stuff. I spend roughly 200-250 weekly on Magic. It is the most expensive habit I have ever had. Me and my wife both play tournament level Magic though and drop tons of money on Legacy, Extended, and Standard. We have 7 Standard decks ,3 Extended, and 2 Legacy at the moment. You know The good thing is these cards keep value so if we are behind on bills one month I sell off a few cards and catch up and buy them later. Same with our anniversary, I had acquired some extra FOW's she was not aware of earlier in the month. I then auctioned them off and payed for our entire anniversary night with those FOW. I look at it more as an investment.

You sir seem to suffer from social anxiety and it seems that it is a possibility that she does also. I had a major problem with it when I was younger. It goes away when you realize that how people preceive you is not how you preceive yourself. You know all your secrets all your problems and all your downfalls. People are taking you at face value, and if you make them smile or not.

Smiling and laughter is like crack people can't get enough of it. If you make people smile then they will keep coming back for more. It is only the most superficial and irrelevant people who choose to judge someone on looks or if they make an idiot of themselves during conversation. 9 times out of 10 if you screw up what you were going to say you can play it off as a joke in which case you know (and they probably know) that you messed up what you were going to say or how you were going to say it but it doesn't matter because you recovered and it became funny either way.

The girl in my honest opinion (I am not there so I am not 100% positive) sounds like she is into you. It sounds to me like she can speak to you on the internet because alot gets lost in translation on the internet. You can recover quickly from a sudden lapse in sanity (e.g. You type you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, then suddenly realize it didnt go over so well. Then you meant to type that to your girl in San Fran., Or you just make up some other stupid excuse) The internet lets you push boundries you have set for yourself. In life you have to deal with looking at someones face when you say something insane.

FEEDBACK/THOUGHTS?! I'VE PLAYTESTED and I ACTUALLY think it can be formulated to become the new super competitive archetype for this format.

This is always my favorite thing... The deck doesn't look bad but isn't it doing near the same thing Tezzeret decks were doing before rotation. Those weren't that great, why is this better?

This is by far one of the best articles I have ever read. Thank you for this gem. I myself an aspiring writer found so many truths in this one article alone.

It became racial because he is an intelligent writer. It would not have received near this much publicity and been passed around and linked as much if it wasn't politically incorrect. He realized this so he played it out. Now this article will be seen by everyone. Star City will have to comment on it themselves and I wouldn't be surprised if WotC made some sort of statement. He stood up and has been heard now. No publicity is bad publicity even if it is in a semi-underground circuit like M:TG. I even felt my face getting red Iwas getting pissed about the seemingly ignorant comments he was making. Complete off the wall judgments and how he had this air of arrogance about himself like he was in the same boat as these people who are not white, when he clearly is. I wanted to physically shake sense into him. I then realized what he was doing, This guy is smart!

Ive been thinking up decks for new Extended and Pyromancer seems a very good option. Here is my current build:

For the sideboard I would like a transformational board to avoid hate for Ascension if possible.

    Critique on the maindeck wanted.

Crumbling Necropolis is too slow and cascade bluffs seems like a perfect fit but I would have to test with it. This all seems like the pre rotation list except with cryptic commands. I am pretty sure you dont even need them. I would run the prerotation list and maybe 2 steady progress in the cryptic commands place. Not even to do anything but just maybe to be "cute" if you do draw it the other option is more burn ala' burst lightning. Overall it is a good list I played the crap out of it while it was in standard. I bought Primevals to play Valakut and built this as an afterthought and ended up playing this deck to death, until rotation. Definitly planning on playing it in extended.

Game 1, turn 1, I went Draw, Land, Quest, Memnite, Memnite, Ornithopter, Mox Opal, Glint Hawk bounce Ornithopter play Ornithopter attach Argentum Armor to the Hawk. GG! Deck is super quick and I haven't lost a game with it Mul til you get a decent hand and you win.

Mark Miller's decklist is obvioulsy the superior build. With a few small mistakes which obviously didn't cost him the Championship. The reason his deck worked so well is he could genesis wave. He ran 4 of main board where most didn't. He played mainly mana dorks to pump out absurd amounts of pumped creatures, Along with Eldrazi and monuments. It netted him the Championship. How can it be win more if it's a good win conditon?

  • posted a message on Is it really theft?
Come on. Nothing was said about rape and I feel you are pulling a politician move on me and trying to attack my character by putting words in my mouth. If you would have read my second post I said that the title may be a bit much. However it does piss me off that people run around screaming about their stuff being stolen when there could have been tons of things done to prevent it. I have picked up deck boxes and turned them in to judges before someone walks away with them. Lets be honest though I have turned stuff in to SCG officials also and no announcements have been made concerning the lost merchandise. If you think the players are the only thiefs you are also wrong. I mean you turn stuff in, you have done your part and you can feel good about yourself. However the chances of that deck not being broken apart and sold are slim to none.

I am not justifing stealing someones deck. Theft is theft no matter how you cut it. I am just saying none of this would happen if people were more attentive. Your stuff didn't "really" get stolen, you lost it, plain and simple. If there is some dude lurking in the shadows waiting for you to turn your back for a split second to take your deck. That is a different kind of theft. If some 12 year old kid sees a deck sitting on a chair with no one around and nobody paying attention, he is going to take it, because obviously you don't care about it. However, the kid just inherited a playset of mindsculptors, due to your misconseption that the world is a perfect place.

Again like I said before. It is different if someone steals it while you are being attentive. I am not siding with thiefs here. I am saying if you don't care about your things then why should they. I have dropped thousands of dollars on this game. I am not about to walk away and leave something I have spent that much money on. To answer your question. If you go inside the gas station and leave the car running and your car gets stolen then some part of the occurence is also your fault. There are cruel people in this world who are only out for themselves. I recognize this and that is why I keep watch. I lock my doors to my car when I go into the grocery store. If I leave my window rolled down and there is a 100 dollar bill laying in my seat and someonereaches in and takes it that is at least partly my fault. If my window is rolled up and someone busts it and takes it then it wasn't my fault. I guess either way it is still theft, so maybe the title of this is too strong. However there are ways to prevent these things. It is not always just bad luck, or criminal masterminds.

At our states an announcement was made that someone lost their deck box (I assume with their deck in it). Last night at FNM one of the judges was there and we talked a little and he said he never expected it to be returned. However he said the same thing I was thinking. Why would you leave you deck box unattended? I have read alot of threads on here about people getting their stuff stolen. My bag along with my trade binder and all of my decks are touching me 90% of the time. If they are not touching me they are clearly visible and within arms length of me. People are calling it theft but really it seems to be just poor attentiveness. A person should really be mad at themselves. Your playset of Koth's may just be too much for "Mr. I can't afford to buy them" to pass up. Especially if you obviously have the money just to leave your stuff laying around. Just watch your stuff people. Keep it with you. Even if you have to go to the rest room. Even if you trust the people around you 100%. If not you are just asking for it to get "Stolen".
