I know it isn't confirmation but Time Warp is one of the cards in Jace's DotP2012 deck. To me it looked like all the cards in the regular games decks are either current standard legal or are from M2012.
I might be incorrect but I understood that "Protection from X" meant that they couldn't be targeted, dmg, etc from X. Unstable Footing only says that damage can't be prevented which would in turn mean that Kor Firewalker can now take damage from X (red in this case), but the targeted portion of protection was still in effect since footing doesn't negate that. Basically you should deal with it the same way as Shroud. Earthquake or any other mass card that doesn't target.
Here is the section that applies to what I am saying:
If damage can't be prevented, static abilities that prevent damage (including protection abilities) don't do so. If they have additional effects that don't depend on the amount of damage prevented, those additional effects will still work. Such effects are applied only once per source of damage.
