You could argue that your sideboard would be constructed differently if not for the bug, which caused you to lose the match due to having to play and sideboard subpar.

The sideboard is really what got me thinking about this. A lot of decks have something in the sb to deal with enchantments but would not even be brought in vs mbc becauses of the bug. Since they are not boarded in a situation would never come up where the bug effected the game even though the bug was the reason they did not bring in enchantment destruction

I'm starting to see some vapor snags and echoing truths showing up in the results? What is the reason for that?

So when should you file for reimbursement for oubliette? Do you have to destroy it? Do you have to have the means to destroy it? Would you be justified just by having it played against you?

This bug effects you 100% of the time it is played against you wether you have the means to deal with it or not. At least with Torch you can only be effected by your opponent so in a lot of situations the bug is irrelevant and the card functions as intended.

I buy gift cards of varying denominations to places that I like and keep them in my desk. When someone gives me a gift I give them a gift card of the corresponding value and tell them sorry I was going to get a card, but you beat me to the gift. Then if I have any left over I just use em myself. Quick, easy, and creates no awkward moments where you get someone something or they get you something and yours falls flat.

We do the same thing with giftcards. Buy a couple of hudred dollars worth from someplace we like to eat, with no intention of giving them all out, that has a some sort of deal where you get a free gift cards for every so many dollars you spend. Whatever giftcards we end up with in the end we use plus get the free ones Smile

I have the cards to build any competitive deck I want. Since the staples are useable throughout multiple archetypes once you have invested in them finishing any deck is pretty cheap.

He can only do that with the singleton dream stalker, right? Looks like he is more geared to the rats wall flicker lock.

Why is he running a single Dream Stalker then? Wouldent he have better removal options then Oubliette for removal? Its kind of hard to believe that he is completly innocent in all of this. At least with mono black they have legitimate reason to run an inferior removal spell since it counts toward devotion.

And to all the people who say just file for a refund this guy was 4-0 so he took packs away from at least one person and potentially others. If the situation does not come up in a match people would not even know that they were cheated by someone exploiting a bug to make it into their round.

Some games ban players and close their accounts for exploiting bugs. Does mtgo have any rules related to exploiting bugs?

So the most sportsmanlike deck possible would be a Dream Stalker/Oubliette deck. If you win, your opponents get refunds!

I played against a guy in tournament practice doing that in a b/w deck with Kor Skyfisher. I don't mind it so much in mono black but when someone sets out to actually abuse it like that it sort of rubs me the wrong way

People getting sick makes sense, and adds another obstacle humanity has to endure.....I just dont like that the zombies are "contagious". I think the last 3 episodes have had as much if not more substance than all of Season 3. There may not be much "action" but there is still a lot going on.

    Indeed sir

So I have a question about the zombie flu. I have seen several people make referance to the zombie flu but the impression I got was they are not really sure what is causing the flu. When they see a zombie with the bloody face they think the person orginally died from the flu and may still be contagious but not that all zombies are contagious. Did I miss something?

Googling for White Weenie online is confusing because it has been around for so long and different versions were built to deal with specific metagames.

You might try a google image search so you can see the decklist before clicking on the link.

Right now the deck seems to have a core but tends to vary alot on the one drops used

Is there a reason to still run 4x Javelineers main, with Delver not being the most prevalent deck?
What about 4x Bodyguard main since there is so much targeted removal?
Is there anything better to play than the Skyhunter in the 2 CMC slot?

I have been trying out order of leitbur. In almost 10 matches so far I have yet to play against mono black though. The first strike has been very relavent though, especially with bonesplitter, but the pump is rarely used.

Edit: I noticed suture priestx 4 in one of the results from a daily

I'm a cashier, and some people bring their kids with them through the checkout lane. Sometimes these kids kick and scream when they don't get what they want. And it's really irritating. And other times they bug their parents multiple times even after they said no to buy them something. Like really, why do they think that their parents will say yes if they ask multiple times?

Kids act like that in checkout lines because they are functioning as intended. Retailers set up checkout areas with plenty of junk to get your kids attention so maybe they can get that extra sale on the way out. We go to Target a lot and their setup is gum /mints on the top at adult level. Below that is candy bars to appeal to the older kids. At little kid level they have ring pops and all the gimmicky cand that appeals to little kids. Im not sure where you work but if they have a similar setup then your employer is the cause of your problem and not the kids

Edit: Everytime a parant gives in because they dont want to deal with the kid its just more money in the retailers pocket

I know Daze has been a bit of a hot topic in the past but I have been having a lot of success with it since the ban and have been running 3 lately. There was a recent daily deck that ran 4 but I dont think im ready to go that far

Its been huge for me against the mono black decks, which I seem to play against twice per daily, since their curve is so high. Its also not uncomon to counter the spell they play to draw your counter when you have 2 up and then Daze the spell they were trying to get through

Edit: when playing against mono black do you play out your hand quick to avoid discarding or chittering rats or do you try to hold cards to represent a counter? I have been playing out my hand if its not a counter to prevent them from getting value. My thought is that if they play a discard effect you may gain some small value if they could have made a better play that turn but if it is chittering rats its a hugh blowout if your holding a land to bluff.

not sure if you saw it, but saw perhaps the biggest violation of MBC lol deck running MBC, but worked in aqueduct and guildgate for what was it like a singleton copy of harpy... not even blue in sideboard or anywhere else like 7 blue mana sources for a single harpy

I played against a more standard UB control deck that was running him and the flicker wall combo as a way to finish

A few days ago I was playing in the tournament practice area and had an opponent scoop the match on a 2x CoF turn two. Before he scooped he said something like "Ill be glad when that crap is banned."

I get that the untap ability is highly abusable in certain decks but I have never thought of Delver as being one of those decks. I started pauper recently and have seen a lot of talk about CoF as a possible candidate for the ban hammer and was just wondering if delver decks have anything to do with or does it have more to do with abusable nature of the untap mechanic and the decks that focus on exploiting that aspect?
