I remember when I had knee surgery and read the first 4 Harry Potter books over a weekend. Aside from The Dresden Files, The Desert Spear series by Peter V Bret were excellent.
Not a big Dresden fan, but will check out the Desert Spear
Harry Potter is a series that has always managed to fascinate me. I really have a love/hate relationship with it. I like the movies, haven't read the novels but don't like a lot of the fanbase of the movies/books. Maybe it's just me, but girls in my High School can't shut up about it. When this one girl said that the same actor who played Dumbeldore portrayed Gandalf I was going to go in to nerdrage mode ;).
Lord of the Rings has managed to be my favourite fantasy series (novels and movies, both amazing) which has prompted me to buy all of them in extended and regular edition.
Fourth on the Twilight! Motion Passed. Illegal to mention twilight from now on.
Harry potter was the bomb, I remember reading the first book when I was in middle school, and I loved it.
LotR is fantastic! i own all the books (the hobbit included) and Own all movies on blu-ray (BLu-ray is fantastic!!! ((PS3 is why i started getting into it, and then dad got like a HDTV and its amazing. I love Blu-ray dvds suck, hard)) )
