The Timely Reinforcements vs. Oblivion Ring is a personal meta call. Most people at my LGS run aggro-y, creature heavy decks, so Timely tends to be a better card for me main deck. That being said, I do plan on running O-rings in the board to deal with ramp or reanimator decks.
I do like Sun Titan, but he doesn't currently have many targets in my deck, so I gave Inferno Titan the nod. Tibalt, the Fiend Blooded is an interesting card that I haven't really tried. He seems like he'd be a beast in control match ups, so I'll try him out tonight and see what he can do.
I made this deck because I love Gisela and Flayer and thought that they would work amazingly well in a frites shell. The goal of the deck is to get Flayer out and then start reanimating creatures with Sheoldred and Unburial Rites. I plan on testing this deck out tonight, and I'd like to hear any feedback you guys would have on this.
I feel like Garruk, Primal Hunter should probably be put in this kind of deck as a 3 of. The beasts can profitably fight most things in standard, and most of the things they can't fight directly, can't block or be blocked by them without exposing themselves to being picked off by a Prey Upon or Ulvenwald Tracker later in the round. His card draw ability is nice to have in a mono-green deck and can be a complete blow out if you have a Dungrove Elder out.
Another card that seems good in this kind of deck would be Craterhoof Behemoth. I'm not sure if his mana is too harsh for this kind of deck, but it seems like he'll win the game the turn he comes down.
Have you thought about replacing a few of your burn spells with some Grim Lavamancers? He's reusable burn that works well if you want to keep up with your human theme.
Tested it out, and the deck is just too slow. Even though Frites decks can trash cards fast, it's still not fast enough to get a butt-load of humans and an angel to the graveyard in time to be meaningful. I would often find myself reanimating the angel with no humans in the graveyard, in which case it's just a lame 4/6 flyer.
Out of curiosity, which decks were you playing it against and is there anything that could be added to the deck to either 1.) make it faster or 2.) buy more time to bin things?
Instead of running BoP, I was thinking about either:
1.) Adding Rampant Growth since even though it isn't a creature, it is harder to get around.
2.) Swapping out Unburial Rites for Defy Death and getting rid of black all together. Obviously, Defy Death is a weaker card, but the benefits to the mana base might be worth it.
The goal of this deck is to adapt the traditional Frites shell to work with Angel Of Glory's Rise to reanimate a bunch of humans. This deck takes advantage of the fact that all of the humans come into play together, so they all see each other entering the battlefield.
Ramp: Sphere of the Suns - Can make any color and ramps. Very good. Avacyn's Pilgrim - A one drop that ramps and is of the correct tribe. Yes please. Borderland Ranger - A decent human that helps fix your colors. He's nice because after he enters the battlefield, you can freely trade him, unlike Avacyn's Pilgrim. Being a human makes him better in this deck than something like Rampant Growth, even though he puts the land into your hand instead of in play.
Filtering: Mulch - Finds lands, stocks your yard. Faithless Looting - Helps you dig, and tosses your wincons into your yard, where they belong.
Win Conditions: Kessig Malcontents - When he comes in, he burns them for a sizable amount. It's pretty easy to hit someone for 2-4 if you hard cast him, or 5 - 8 if you're pulling him in with your angel. Champion Of Lambholt and Champion of the Parish - These guys both fill the same role in that they both get big and beat for a bunch. Personally, I run more of Champion of Lambholt since he makes the rest of my guys unblockable after an Angel Of Glory's Rise. Angel Of Glory's Rise - Brings back all of your humans and is a 4/6 flyer. The centerpiece of the deck. Unburial Rites - How you reanimate your angel. Can also be used on other dudes, but the angel is definitely the best target.
I've made the following deck, and I'm trying to decide which if one of my Legendary creatures should be my general or if there's a better choice to go with?

An article on similar deck was posted: http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/article.asp?ID=10472

I feel like Fiend Hunter + Cloudshift is just too powerful an interaction to leave out of the deck.
Hadn't even thought of that. I think I'll try it.
