It may be redundant to some extent, but I am trying to make a community calendar of Legacy events. I will try to include these events to mine, and I encourage you to come check ours (though ours is much shorter than this)
I have set it up so people can add their local events, and then everyone can see them. In theory, I want to crowd-source this as a sortable, worldwide calendar. I will put the above events on my to-do list, but with all worldwide events, it's a long list for one guy.
Thanks a lot, Jamie! I haven't been able to put in the effort to maintain this list quite the way I would like, but if you're interested, I can send you more info in a spreadsheet form!

I think it is in the interest of our community to patronize stores that support Legacy when possible over ones that do not, and I have decided to assemble a list of stores that run Legacy events. I intend to keep this sorted both regionally and alphabetically. Please help me keep this accurate, especially with regards to stores missing from the list that do support Legacy, stores on the list that no longer support Legacy, existence of a usable online storefront, and any additional comments you may have. I will make sure to keep this updated!
Galaxy Games (Dublin) - Saturday weeklies, $10 entry
Great Escape Games (Sacramento) - Second Sunday of each month at 12 pm ($20)
Knight Ware Inc. (Studio City) - Monthly Legacy events, alternating between $10 and $20-25 entry, on second Sunday of month; weekly FNM at 7 pm, decks available for borrowing!
Montasy Comics Chapter 2 (New York) - Chapter 2 store in Midtown runs Tuesday weeklies at 6:30 pm
Mythic Games (Elmira) - Thursday night weeklies ($5), semi-monthly $1k+ Legacy and $750 Vintage events. Great store that's focused on Legacy and Vintage.
Nebulous Gaming NYC (New York) - Thursdays at 7 pm ($16), store credit or packs paid out by record to 2-2 or above
Card Kingdom (Seattle) - Large store with Monday weeklies at 6:30 pm, payouts based on 4 rounds of Swiss; occasional larger events, including $1K series. (Twitch: cardkingdom)
Mirkwood and Shire Cafe (Arlington) - Monday weeklies at 7 pm, occasional large events (50-100 players)
MOB Games (Lake Stevens) - Tuesday weeklies at 7 pm, $10 entry paid out in store credit
Mox Boarding House (Bellevue) - Card Kingdom's second location. Large store with Thursday weeklies at 7 pm. $10 entry with payouts based on four rounds of Swiss. Occasional large weekend events, including $1K series
Northwest Sportscards (Tacoma) - Tuesday night weeklies at 7 pm ($5), 100% prizes paid out in store credit
Hareruya (Shinjuku, Tokyo) - One of the largest shops in Japan, owned by Tomaharu Saito; Legacy events fire four times per day, five days per week (Twitch: hareruya)
You ship it out. But if you have no moral qualms about canceling your order, you can also try taking product from your LGS without stealing or refusing to sign match result slips unless you win to better improve your EV.
My read here is that the runaway decks of the tournament were 4C Delver and Aggro Loam.
Four-color Loam definitely had an impressive performance. I can't imagine there were more than a dozen copies of the deck in the entire field, and as you said, of the three that made day 2, two made top 8 and the third finished 52nd. That third place finisher had recently won Prague Eternal as well as a previous Bazaar of Moxen.
It would be a shame if someone quit Legacy because they felt their pet Loam deck were unplayable.
Tarmogoyf has been falling for several consecutive days on TCGPlayer now. Either the natural player demand has been saturated, or the speculators who were snap buying anything below their price point have run out of money to continue driving up the prices. Will it continue to fall?
At this moment, there now 17 NM Tarmogoyfs (MM15) at below $140 on TCG where there were none a few days ago, including one for as low as $125.
Play vintage. Locally at least, 90% will be playing with top loaders. In sleeves. In perfect fits. I have NEVER seen someone just use toploaders without sleeves. I use top loaders, and for the longest time I was the only person who didn't in the local vintage community. I skip the perfect fits, though.
My local LGS runs monthly Vintage FNMs with 16-28 people, and I have never seen anyone use toploaders. Double sleeved for sure though!
It depends on if you're a Standard player. If you're considering Modern Masters 2015, you certainly aren't a Standard player exclusively, and DTK has pretty much stone cold nothing of value once it rotates out of Standard.
Collected Company and Kolaghan's Command are seeing play in modern. Kolaghan's Command has only recently seen the uptick but you'd need to have been living under a rock to have missed Collected Company.
Sure it's not much but it's certainly a far cry from "stone cold nothing".
Speculation is a difficult game though and I somewhat agree with your sentiment of rotating standard cards being worth little in the long run but that's not what this is about. This is about what you can flip stuff for now. Long term investments don't turnover money. You can buy plenty of modern staples by selling Dragonlord Ojutai and Deathmist Raptor at high prices while still cashing in on the last of the hype over Narset which isn't being given away for free.
I stand corrected. I stopped following Modern when my Pod deck got banned, so I'm mainly speaking from a Legacy/Vintage perspective.

T: Add one colorless mana to your mana pool.
T, sacrifice ~: Destroy target non-basic land. You may only activate this ability after the third turn of the game.
If he countered the pod with hive mind in play, the opponent would get a copy of pact to resolve first. He can counter 2 things. Either the original pact, either his birthing pod. In the first case the original spell is countered so you don't have to pay for the upkeep cost. In the second case, if the pod is countered the original pact has no target, fizzles, and therefore you don't have to pay for the upkeep cost too.
I watched Stephen Speck playing the deck at the top 8 and he did a lot of mistakes, play-mistakes and sdb mistakes. He still reached the finals though. The deck is very skill intensive and a bit tiring to play correctly for 2 consecutive days. You cannot easily play the deck in a big tournament without A LOT of practice and hope to do well with it.
I apologize if this has already been addressed in the thread, but when do we start getting more significant spoilers for the set? Or rather, what's the schedule like for spoiling cards in the set?
It sold out less than a week into an 8-week pre-registration period. Wizards really needs to hold more Legacy GPs, especially in cities with sufficiently large convention centers to accommodate everyone.
Thanks for the updates! These are now reflected in the original post!

Looks like these guys were onto something.
