Also try to get Path to Exile, it's a bit more pricy, but you can litterally inflate some of your guys with it. Couple that and Brave the Elements, you might be able to get some guys in with some strong hits.
I made some changes to my deck and decided to try out B/U as per suggestion. The green ramp became too easily disrupted and controlled. I think this one worked a lot better too, since I had access to manlands and some other strong creatures.
Unfortunetly I'm poor, so I had to do some budgeting. I stuck some things that doesn't really merge, but whatever. I can't afford 4 Jaces or Liliana for that matter.
Do you guys get mad at players using older versions of the same cards? I don't see a big deal, but for osme reason some players dont' like seeing a revised Drudge Skeleton and insist I must use a M10 version. Sad it was unfair.
Thada Adel, Acquisitor So with all these artifact junkies in the game now... think we'll see her being taken up? heck she herself probably screws up the lich. time to buy?
IF you're asking how you can get the Hellbent ability, it's because the Tutor doesn't check your hand until it resolves. So you can respond to the Tutor by activating the Diamond and discarding your hand.
so you cannot use the mana generated from LED to pay for tutor then?
Liliana vess -2, then Djinn of wishes gets you any card in your deck onto the field, in 1 turn.
yes i did. I just had too many black decks so I tried something else. Black would be a better with the djinn too. you even get diabolic tutor and Kathari Remnant and deny reality so you can double cast with one wish.
There's also strong black creatures taht normally dont' see play like Pestilence Demon. You even get doom blade and other removal.
If you want you can make it Grixis and probably even play Nicol Bolas.
The more I think about it, the less likely that'll happen. With no ramp, you're fending off the other side for 5-7 turns. and by that time it'll be too late for many decks
Only those of your opponents, and only if, on resolution, you decide to redirect 1 damage that would be dealt to that opponent to a planeswalker of him instead.
Oh wow... so planeswalkers are basically bodyguards too.
wait...
212.9g If noncombat damage would be dealt to a player by a source controlled by an opponent, that opponent may have that source deal that damage to a planeswalker the first player controls instead. This is a redirection effect (see rule 419.6c) and is subject to the normal rules for ordering replacement effects (see rule 419.9). The opponent chooses whether to redirect the damage as the redirection effect is applied.
So the opponent gets to choose if the planeswalker takes damage or the person using Pestilence? Because I'm getting two different rules here.
Does the pestilence ability hurt planeswalkers? I figured since the player themselves are planeswalkers wouldn't abilities that target players work on the planeswalkers too?
This deck is really fun the more I play it. One card can seriously turn the tide of battle. I was attacked by 2 baneslayers, took a wild shot at the wish, and TERASTODON!!!!
Withouth Dark Ritual he's not that big of a deal anymore. He still eats a removal if you need him to.
Yes.
I'm assuming you have budget issues. I say try to get Hedron Rover, and Walking Atlas.

It works pretty well. I'm surprised how much my opponents hate Underworld Dreams.
????
Eventually having a 10000000 power creature!!!
so you cannot use the mana generated from LED to pay for tutor then?
from what i understand with LED, you have to discard your entire hand to get the 4 mana.
so how does infernal tutor work with it?
lets say u use LED, cast infernal, you still have cards in your hand before you discard. how does it resolve then?
Second infraction for persistently failing to provide card tags. Please use card tags in future posts. Read the Forum Guidelines. -Carsten

I didn't have a choice in that one. It was a wild shot that was needed. Normally I'll use the Sphinx to wish, but that was a desperation move.
