Well there's not a whole lot more they could have done with Morph without it devolving into total chaos. A new player dealing with Manifest, Morph, *and* another type of Morph? I'm at least happy to see this with the +1/+1's synergy in the block (even if +1/+1 counters are rather overdone as a mechanic at this point).
-New Morph adds a +1/+1 counter (when turned face-up)
-Set started out as enemy color pairs, but was changed to allied
-Preview card itself not leaked (just the text of the article)
Atarka's becoming one of my favorites. Granting all your Dragons double strike, in very ramp- & dragon-friendly colors, being able to whomp for 14 herself...
Naya Dragons with Dromoka? Atarka out, attack with both given something haste granting, both get double strike and Atarka's a 9/6
well im not sure to be honest.. lightform is very very good. but so is the dragon. i mean he needs an immediate answer or he finishes the game all allone in 2 turns.
She, not he. Why does everyone refer to all cards as he?
To be fair Atarks is one seriously manly-looking She (crazy fightin' antlers on earth usually = male?)
And also my pick. Lightform's good but "my dragon bear-punches your dragon and attacks for 18 trample by herself" is kind of good
Beastmaster's my pick---that's some card advantage that could get out of control, while synergizing nicely with a lot of stuff. There's too much Manifest/Morph for the 2-toughess Strike Leader to get much of anywhere, at least early.
Dragon Bell Monk seems like a nightmare to deal with (prowess bluffs on offense -and- defense every turn...), and is a nice flexible monocolored card for a good rate, so I'd probably go with that.
Side note: Especially for FRF-heavy sealed like the PR, those Archers of Qarsi may hold more value than you'd expect. Because dragons...dragons everywhere...
lol. Clearly that's a very loose shell at the moment but with both Monastery Siege and Dictate of Kruphix out there as 3 mana draw engines, some kind of turbo fog-like madness seems possible
A great set power-wise, up there with New Phyrexia or Dark Ascension. One of the better small sets to date overall, solid power value across the board (I opened an awful lot of Alabaster Leech, Mudhole, and Loafing Giant as rares in my day...so I appreciate a set with depth!) but monetarily, there's so much supply for singles with the game's surging popularity that a box isn't super worth it.
Prerelease, though---if your LGS us giving out an Ugin's Fate pack every event, then this is the prerelease to go all-out on for a shot at that alternate Ugin plus what will be pretty rare alternate art cards in general.
Scroll's a decent card, definitely not a Loafing Giant or Mudhole Store up Prowess triggers; pump up Jeleva or Narset in EDH; works with enchantment/artifact casts instead of just instant or sorcery. I like it, it's got applications.

Marang River Prowler and planeswalkers (Nissa/Kiora) as potential wincons?

Anyone criticizing the quality of this set is crazy.
Love the name, art; cool card! I'm excited to see Manifest in action.
...the Mother of Dragons?
"WHERE ARE MY DRAGONS"
(and yes the card is purty but is fringe, even in EDH)
