I went 4-2 with GBW aggro-control. Its a fun deck to play, and has good matchups against RW, Rock, and Gifts. but loses to combo really, really, really bad. My two losses were to Greater Good and 4CC. The 4CC player went on to win though, so not bad. Oh, and with 4-2 I got 11th. Can anyone guess which state I was from without looking at my sig?
I have been working at a shop and running tournaments for about a year and a half now and when people talk back to me its simply rude. I would drop the ban hammer too. And if you are really a rebel, then you are a rebel without a real cause, which isn't much of a rebel anyway. Meh.
The site for MPR says they send them out in late fall, so I would guess late october or so. I would also guess that the next Promo will be something Extended legal that sees a lot of play.
I don't think they are that bad, they highlight the fact that if you want, you can make money playing this game, and add a sense of proffesionalism to being a pro. If they can print Pro Racing cards, why not Magic?
I actually like the idea of Pro Player Cards, it may bring more people hoping to become well known for what they do to the game. I mean what little boy never dreamed of having thier own sports card? And now you can do it playing a game we all love.
I'm voting that no bans will happen. I hope they keep Vial and Witness in extended so I can play Crystal Witness that will be able to beat out gobs and affinity. w00t!!
How about running Citys instead of Springs, this lets you board naturalize to get rid of that nasty Worship card, which is even less of your friend than plague. Try it out.
I just had a question about this at FNM and looked it up on Starcity's Ask the Judge databases for clarification and it replaces the name, except in cases like Brothers.
No you have Sekki deal his own damage from Pandemonium to himself to make 8 spirits who deal 1 damage apiece to opponent, sac to bring back Sekki, wash rinse and repeat
Its because the PT is meant to preview what the upcoming season will be like and to let Pros break any cards before the PTQ season that comes just afterwards of the same format. So Wizards can do any banning they need to do after someone breaks a card and dominates the tour with it.
