Say my opponent has Olivia Voldaren in play and I cast Mark of Mutiny, gaining control of it until EOT. Afterwards, still on my mainphase, I use Olivia's second ability, targeting itself.

Do I get to keep control of Olivia indefinitely, dear Salvationers?

4 Thoughtseizes? No Inquisitions? 26 lands? Only 1 Thorn? Grimlavamancer is not a replacement for Punishing Fires.

I've been testing that list extensively. So far, it works as a clock.

On the manabase: The manabase is solid, I haven't been manascrewed in all the twenty or more games I've played with the list so far. Got flooded about twice, but didn't care much, as I could use the man-lands aggressively. The manlands end up being a kind of card advantage, posing as additional threats. Wild Nacatl could block Treetop Village all day. But he is not there anymore. The biggest issue becomes Lightning Bolt, people have been Path to Exileing my Treetops left and right, but I could not care less. Those were pretty much "free" cards for me. One could argue about reducing the number of fetchlands by one, but I don't think it would be really necessary.

On specific cards: I could hit almost anything with Inquisition of Kozilek that I could with Thoughtseize, bar Elspeth, Knight-Errant a couple of times. And *** effects in the Esper Teachings MU; Even though Duress from the sideboard could take care of those, I'm not completely sold on Inquisitions yet. Maybe a split?
    Blightning is still being 'meh'.
I got killed by Bob twice and had to kill it once (all of the times while still running the full set of Thoughtseizes. What I noticed was that Kitchen Finks actually wouldn't save me from losing: one of the times he wouldn't even have postponed my death by a single turn. It happened once against MartyrProc-Aggro and once against Domain Zoo on g1.
Grim Lavamancer was great. I just wish I could fit four of them in there. They're no replacement for Punishing Fire, but they do exactly what I want them to do: shoot things in the face repeatedly so I can save my bolts for more pressing matters, generating some card advantage while doing so.

More details as I remember them. Or as I test more.

RUB Delver seems to lack some of the strengths of RUG, namely, Tarmogoyf and Ancient Grudge.
RUG makes up for (some of) the lack of Dark Confidant by running more instances of Snapcaster Mage, and can deal with opposing creatures just as well, if not better, than the black version.
What really strikes me as "techy" is Liliana of the Veil. That card alone may push the black version over the green one. Oh, Creeping Tar Pit is also great.

Actually, the only thing I really miss are viable SB options.
The steep black cost of Liliana kind of prohibits the use of Shattering Spree, which would be awesome to run. Specially with Snapcaster.

An interesting list (and by interesting I mean powerful) was posted today on SCG by reiderrabbit (Reid Duke) featuring 26 lands, only one Kitchen Finks maindeck and Grim Lavamancer.

Duke obviously knows his Jundings, so once the decklist becomes public I suggest we start discussing it.

Drawspells that draw 1+ cards = having access to more resources than your opponent.
    Its as simple as this.

Yeah. Most of the time, it is.
Those cards trade tempo for card advantage. A good deal in standard, usually.

But the OP attempted to troll.

#3 i get the feeling you're posting in the competitive standard forum. no points for originality. sometimes people are closed minded and wrong (arguing against Spell Pierce), but if someone says a card doesn't hold up in standard, think about why they might say that.
When I look at my friends who are "casual good" a magic, who play tightly, but rarely win, I see the same barrier quite a lot. They like too many cards. Their rating scale goes "bad, good, amazing, unfair." Of course they're going to lose to someone who looks simply for cards that are the best at what they do in the format.

    This. This.
People often forget they are in the wrong group. A competitive group isn't going to give you wins for originality. In such a group, a deck is "cool" when it is good, well-built, consistent. If it wins.
In a different group, say, a more casual group, other aspects may be considered. But that's an entirely different situation.

So, in a scenario where Blood Moon resolves
Do we pick up our cards with the right hand, or do we use our left hand?

That's one too many game-winning critter, I don't believe Blightsteel Colossus is at all necessary. Maybe run a 1-of Buried Ruin in the for Gifts Ungiven shenanigans?
You could maybe even cut Emrakul or Ulamog (not both)

Mystic keeps hypergenesis from absolutely dominating the format. Aggro keeps Mystic from being more than it should be - a check to old-style control and combo. There are UWr versions out there who may perform quite well against aggro, but, hell, what do I know.
I actually liked the fact they left out Hypergenesis. I don't play it myself, but it feels like a weird deck, and I personally love to see weird decks performing well. Extremely well, in fact.

I use the first ability of Koth of the Hammer on a mountain I countrol. Does Renegade Doppelganger become a nice 4/4 copy of the mountain?

Even by, say, Counterbalance? If there's a Path to Exile on the top of the library, will all my copies of Shattering Spree have no effect?

    That was... quick. Thanks, XScorpion.

EDIT: By the way. Can the copies be countered?
