I have some 70,000 cards, and the only inventory I have is the ~5000 I've bought from TCG Player.
With this many cards a cell phone photo scan one-by-one would take longer that the cards could possibly be worth.
Has anyone found or even heard of any automated bulk card scanners?
The same tech would apply to Baseball/Sports cards and any CCG cards so I'd think some dealer would have bought an Estate Sale (or some such) someone's huge collection and had to inventory it and "made it so".
I must call Shenanagans becasue:
1) The art is different, and of lower quality, than the card in the background of "Glissa, the Traitor".
2) If it were an alternate promo version it would a) be foil, and b) have the promo date stamp in gold on it, as Glissa does.
3) I'm not a photochop'er but the typeface looks off to me
4) The Mirrian 'watermark' looks off
I find this to be unfortunate as this card would be such a nice addition in my "Militia's Pride" deck.
Any photochopers out there have a more educated opinion?
I've got 40,000+ cards, most commons/uncommons from buying boxes/collecting for 10+ years and since I do a fair amount of Johnny type deck building I have an odd sort of sorting. But really good to 'thumb thru' while you're trying to find that right card.
I sort by: Color(BUGRW-Colorless-MultiColor), Card Type(Creature, Sorcery&etc), finally Alphabetically.
It's a lot of work so I'm not sure I'd recommend it.
There's a group of us that plays multiplayer in a resteraunt on Sunday nights, and we had someone new show up with only one deck. He came late so he played a side game with one of the people knocked out and happened to be playing the Thrumming Stones/Relentless Rats deck.
He played it in a big game, which made us all nervous as his deck is a dueling deck and we all had much slower multi-player decks, and he plays his first rat with the stones out and the guy he was playing earlier did a Trickbind on his stones and I countered his rat. I think we were afraid the rats could smell the fear...
Two turns later, and there was admittedly table talk, after he choose to put out only 7 rats, I did an Echoing Truth on his rats, and the last person did the Extirpate on the countered rat is his grumper!
It wasn't planned that way, but I just could not stop laughing.
(In retrospect I feel bad about it, as he had to play the rest of the game with a completely neutered deck, but it still makes me laugh.)
